| 1 | Salva, SENHOR, porque os bons estão em falta; porque são poucos os fiéis dentre os filhos dos homens. | Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. |
| 2 | Cada um fala falsidade ao seu próximo, com lábios elogiam falsamente; falam com duas intenções no coração. | They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. |
| 3 | Que o SENHOR corte a todos os lábios que falam falsos elogios, e toda língua que fala grandes mentiras . | The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: |
| 4 | Pois dizem: Com nossa língua prevaleceremos; nossos lábios são nossos; que é senhor sobre nós? | Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? |
| 5 | O SENHOR diz: Pela opressão aos humildes, pelo gemido dos necessitados, eu agora me levantarei; porei em segurança àquele a quem ele sopra desejando oprimir . | For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. |
| 6 | As palavras do SENHOR são palavras puras, como prata refinada em forno de barro, purificada sete vezes. | The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. |
| 7 | Tu, SENHOR, os guardarás; desta geração os livrarás para sempre. | Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. |
| 8 | Os maus andam cercando, enquanto os mais vis dos filhos dos homens são exaltados. | The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. |
