1	—	Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
2	Gebet mitten unter den Feinden / Ein güldenes Kleinod Davids, vorzusingen, nach der Weise »Vertilge nicht«, als Saul hinsandte und sein Haus bewachen ließ, um ihn zu töten. Errette mich, mein Gott, von meinen Feinden und schütze mich vor meinen Widersachern.	Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3	Errette mich von den Übeltätern und hilf mir von den Blutgierigen!	For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.
4	Denn siehe, Herr, sie lauern mir auf; Starke rotten sich wider mich zusammen ohne meine Schuld und Missetat.	They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.
5	Ich habe nichts verschuldet; / sie aber laufen herzu und machen sich bereit. Erwache, komm herbei und sieh darein!	Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.
6	Du, Herr, Gott Zebaoth, Gott Israels, wache auf und suche heim alle Völker! Sei keinem von ihnen gnädig, die so verwegene Übeltäter sind. SELA.	They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
7	Des Abends kommen sie wieder, heulen wie die Hunde und laufen in der Stadt umher.	Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
8	Siehe, sie geifern mit ihrem Maul; Schwerter sind auf ihren Lippen: »Wer sollte es hören?«	But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
9	Aber du, Herr, wirst ihrer lachen und aller Völker spotten.	Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.
10	Meine Stärke, zu dir will ich mich halten; denn Gott ist mein Schutz.	The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
11	Gott erzeigt mir reichlich seine Güte, Gott lässt mich herabsehen auf meine Feinde.	Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12	Bringe sie nicht um, dass es mein Volk nicht vergesse; zerstreue sie aber mit deiner Macht, Herr, unser Schild, und stoß sie hinunter!	For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
13	Das Wort ihrer Lippen ist nichts als Sünde; darum sollen sie sich fangen in ihrer Hoffart mit all ihren Flüchen und Lügen.	Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.
14	Vertilge sie ohne alle Gnade, vertilge sie, dass sie nicht mehr sind! Lass sie innewerden, dass Gott Herrscher ist in Jakob, bis an die Enden der Erde. SELA.	And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
15	Des Abends kommen sie wieder, heulen wie die Hunde und laufen in der Stadt umher.	Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
16	Sie laufen hin und her nach Speise und murren, wenn sie nicht satt werden.	But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
17	Ich aber will von deiner Macht singen / und des Morgens rühmen deine Güte; denn du bist mir Schutz und Zuflucht in meiner Not.	Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
18	Meine Stärke, dir will ich lobsingen; denn Gott ist mein Schutz, mein gnädiger Gott.	—
