| 1 | 예레미야가 온 백성에게 주 그들의 하나님의 모든 말씀 곧 주 그들의 하나님께서 자기를 그들에게 보내사 이루시려 한 이 모든 말씀을 말하기를 끝마치니 | And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the Lord their God, for which the Lord their God had sent him to them, even all these words, |
| 2 | 이에 호사야의 아들 아사랴와 가레아의 아들 요하난과 모든 교만한 자들이 예레미야에게 말하여 이르되, 네가 거짓으로 말하는도다. 주 우리 하나님께서 너를 보내사, 이집트에서 머무르려고 거기로 들어가지 말라, 하고 말하게 하지 아니하셨느니라. | Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lord our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there: |
| 3 | 단지 네리야의 아들 바룩이 갈대아 사람들의 손에 우리를 넘겨주려고 우리를 대적하여 너를 부추기나니 이것은 그들이 우리를 죽이고 우리를 포로로 사로잡아 바빌론으로 끌고 가게 하려 함이니라, 하고 | But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon. |
| 4 | 이처럼 가레아의 아들 요하난과 군대의 모든 대장과 온 백성이 유다 땅에 거하라 하시는 주의 음성에 순종하지 아니하고 | So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the Lord, to dwell in the land of Judah. |
| 5 | 가레아의 아들 요하난과 군대의 모든 대장이 유다의 모든 남은 자들 즉 쫓겨나서 함께 거하던 모든 민족들로부터 돌아와 유다 땅에 거하려 하는 자들 | But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah; |
| 6 | 곧 남자들과 여자들과 아이들과 왕의 딸들과 호위대장 느부사라단이 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야와 함께 남겨 둔 모든 사람과 대언자 예레미야와 네리야의 아들 바룩을 데려가니라. | Even men, and women, and children, and the king’s daughters, and every person that Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah. |
| 7 | 이처럼 그들이 이집트 땅으로 들어갔으니 이는 그들이 주의 음성에 순종하지 아니하였기 때문이더라. 이와 같이 그들이 다바네스에 이르렀더라. | So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the Lord: thus came they even to Tahpanhes. |
| 8 | ¶그때에 다바네스에서 주의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라. 이르시되, | Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying, |
| 9 | 유다 사람들의 눈앞에서 네 손으로 큰 돌들을 가져다가 벽돌로 쌓은 가마 안의 진흙 속에 숨기라. 그 가마는 다바네스에 있는 파라오의 집 어귀에 있느니라. | Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah; |
| 10 | 그리고 그들에게 이르기를, 만군의 주 곧 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 사람을 보내어 나의 종 바빌론 왕 느부갓레살을 데려오고 내가 숨긴 이 돌들 위에 그의 왕좌를 세우리니 그가 그 돌들 위에 왕가의 천막을 치리라. | And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them. |
| 11 | 그가 오면 이집트 땅을 쳐서 죽일 자는 죽음에 넘기고 포로 삼을 자는 포로로 넘기며 칼로 칠 자는 칼에 넘기리라. | And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword. |
| 12 | 또 내가 이집트의 신들의 집들에 불을 지르리니 그가 그것들을 불태우고 그들을 포로로 끌어가며 또 목자가 자기 옷을 입음같이 그가 이집트 땅으로 자기를 단장하고 평안히 거기에서 나아가리라. | And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace. |
| 13 | 그가 또한 이집트 땅에 있는 벧세메스의 형상들을 부수고 이집트 사람들의 신들의 집들을 불태우리라, 하라, 하시니라. | He shall break also the images of Beth–shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire. |
