| 1 | 에브라임 산에 미가라는 이름의 한 사람이 있더라. | And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah. |
| 2 | 그가 자기 어머니에게 이르되, 어머니가 잃어버린 은 천백 세겔에 관하여 어머니께서 저주하시고 내 귀에도 그것에 관하여 말씀하셨사온데, 보소서, 그 은이 내게 있나이다. 내가 그것을 취하였나이다, 하니 그의 어머니가 이르되, 내 아들아, 주께서 네게 복 주시기를 원하노라, 하니라. | And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my son. |
| 3 | 그가 은 천백 세겔을 자기 어머니에게 도로 주매 그의 어머니가 이르되, 내가 내 아들을 위하여 새긴 형상과 부어 만든 형상을 만들려고 이미 내 손에서 이 은을 주께 온전히 봉헌하였노라. 그러므로 내가 이제 그것을 네게 도로 주리라, 하니라. | And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the Lord from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee. |
| 4 | 그러나 그가 그 돈을 자기 어머니에게 도로 주므로 그의 어머니가 은 이백 세겔을 취하여 주물공에게 주매 그가 그것으로 새긴 형상과 부어 만든 형상을 만드니 그것들이 미가의 집에 있더라. | Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. |
| 5 | 그 사람 미가는 신들을 섬기기 위한 집을 가지고 있었으며 에봇과 드라빔을 만들었고 자기 아들들 중에서 하나를 구분하여 자기 제사장으로 삼았더라. | And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. |
| 6 | 그때에는 이스라엘에 왕이 없었으므로 사람마다 자기 눈에 옳은 것을 행하였더라. | In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. |
| 7 | ¶유다 가족에 속한 베들레헴유다에 한 청년이 있었는데 그는 레위 사람이며 거기서 머무는 자더라. | And there was a young man out of Beth–lehem–judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. |
| 8 | 그 사람이 머물 곳을 찾으려고 그 도시 베들레헴유다를 떠나 이동하다가 에브라임 산으로 가서 미가의 집에 이르매 | And the man departed out of the city from Beth–lehem–judah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. |
| 9 | 미가가 그에게 이르되, 너는 어디에서 오느냐? 하니 그가 그에게 이르되, 나는 베들레헴유다에서 온 레위 사람으로 내가 처소를 찾는 곳에서 머물려고 가노라, 하매 | And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Beth–lehem–judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place. |
| 10 | 미가가 그에게 이르되, 나와 함께 거하며 나에게 아버지와 제사장이 되라. 내가 해마다 은 십 세겔과 의복 한 벌과 양식을 주리라, 하므로 이에 그 레위 사람이 거기로 들어갔더라. | And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in. |
| 11 | 그 레위 사람이 그 사람과 함께 거하는 것을 만족스러워 하였으며 그 청년이 그에게 그의 아들들 중의 하나같이 되었더라. | And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons. |
| 12 | 미가가 그 레위 사람을 거룩히 구분하매 그 청년이 미가의 제사장이 되어 그의 집에 거하므로 | And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah. |
| 13 | 그때에 미가가 이르되, 레위 사람이 내 제사장이 되었으니 이제 주께서 내게 선을 베푸실 줄 내가 아노라, 하니라. | Then said Micah, Now know I that the Lord will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest. |
