(브에롯도 베냐민에게 속한 것으로 간주되었더라. | And Saul’s son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin: |

He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth. |

| 8 | 이스보셋의 머리를 가지고 헤브론에 이르러 다윗에게로 가서 왕에게 이르되, 왕의 생명을 찾던 왕의 원수 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 머리를 보소서. 주께서 이 날 사울과 그의 씨에게 내 주 왕의 원수를 갚으셨나이다, 하니라. | And they brought the head of Ish–bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ish–bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the Lord hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed. |

| 10 | 전에 한 사람이 내게 고하여 이르기를, 보소서, 사울이 죽었나이다, 하며 좋은 소식을 가져온 줄로 생각하였으나 내가 그를 붙잡아 시글락에서 죽였나니 그는 자기의 소식으로 인해 내가 자기에게 보상을 주리라고 생각하였느니라. | When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings: |
| 11 | 그런데 하물며 사악한 사람들이 의로운 자를 그의 집 침상 위에서 죽인 것은 얼마나 더하겠느냐? 그런즉 이제 내가 그의 피를 너희 손에서 요구하여 너희를 땅에서 없애지 아니하겠느냐? 하고 | How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth? |
| 12 | 자기 청년들에게 명령하매 그 청년들이 그들을 죽이고 그들의 손발을 베어 헤브론에 있는 연못에 매다니라. 그러나 그들이 이스보셋의 머리를 가져다가 헤브론에 있는 아브넬의 돌무덤에 묻으니라. | And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish–bosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron. |
