1 너희는 너희를 위해 우상들이나 새긴 형상을 만들지 말고 너희를 위해 서 있는 형상을 세우지 말며 너희 땅에 돌로 된 형상을 세우고 그것에게 절하지 말라. 나는 주 너희 하나님이니라. Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.
2 ¶너희는 내 안식일을 지키고 내 성소를 존중히 여기라. 나는 주니라. Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
3 ¶너희가 내 법규 안에서 걷고 내 명령을 지키고 행하면 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4 내가 너희에게 적당한 때에 비를 주리니 땅은 자기 소출을 내고 밭의 나무는 자기 열매를 맺을 것이요, Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 너희의 곡식 타작은 포도 수확 때까지 이르고 포도 수확은 씨 뿌리는 때까지 이르리니 너희가 빵을 배불리 먹고 너희 땅에 안전히 거하리라. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6 내가 그 땅에 평화를 주리니 너희가 누울 때에 아무도 너희를 두렵게 하지 못하리라. 내가 악한 짐승들을 그 땅에서 제거할 것이요, 또 칼이 너희 땅에 두루 다니지 못하리라. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7 너희가 너희 원수들을 쫓으리니 그들이 너희 앞에서 칼에 쓰러지리라. And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8 너희 중 다섯 명이 백 명을 쫓고 너희 중 백 명이 만 명을 도망가게 하리니 너희 원수들이 너희 앞에서 칼에 쓰러지리라. And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
9 내가 너희에게 관심을 두고 너희를 다산하게 하고 번성하게 하며 너희와 더불어 내 언약을 굳게 세우리니 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
10 너희가 오래 간직한 것을 먹다가 새 것으로 인하여 묵은 것을 치우리라. And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
11 내가 내 성막을 너희 가운데 세우며 내 혼이 너희를 몹시 싫어하지 아니하리니 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 나는 너희 가운데서 걸으며 너희 하나님이 되고 너희는 내 백성이 되리라. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13 나는 너희를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나와 너희가 그들의 노예가 되지 않게 한 주 너희 하나님이니라. 내가 너희 멍에의 매는 것을 깨뜨리고 너희로 하여금 똑바로 걷게 하였느니라. I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
14 ¶그러나 너희가 내 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하여 이 모든 명령을 행하지 아니하고 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 내 법규를 멸시하거나 너희 혼이 내 판단의 법도를 몹시 싫어하여 너희가 내 모든 명령을 행하지 아니하고 내 언약을 깨뜨릴진대 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16 나 또한 이같이 너희에게 행하리니 곧 내가 너희에게 두려움과 폐병과 열병을 내려 눈을 침침하게 하고 마음의 고통을 일으키리라. 또 너희가 헛되이 너희 씨를 뿌리리니 너희 원수들이 그것을 먹으리라. I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 내가 너희를 향해 내 얼굴을 고정하리니 너희가 너희 원수들 앞에서 죽임을 당하고 너희를 미워하는 자들이 너희를 통치하며 너희를 쫓는 자가 없어도 너희가 도망하리라. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18 이 모든 것에도 불구하고 너희가 내 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하면 너희 죄들로 인하여 내가 너희를 일곱 배나 더 벌하리라. And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 내가 너희 권능의 교만을 꺾고 너희 하늘을 쇠 같게 하며 너희 땅을 놋 같게 하리니 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
20 너희가 헛되이 힘을 쓰리라. 너희 땅이 자기 소출을 내지 아니하고 땅의 나무가 자기 열매를 맺지 아니하리라. And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21 ¶너희가 나를 대적하여 걸으며 내 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니할진대 내가 너희 죄들에 따라 너희에게 일곱 배나 더 재앙을 내리리라. And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22 또 내가 들짐승들을 너희 가운데 보내리니 그것들이 너희 자녀들을 빼앗아 가고 너희 가축을 멸하며 너희 수효를 감소시킬 것이요, 또한 너희의 큰길들이 황폐하게 되리라. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
23 나로 말미암은 이 일들로도 너희가 개혁하지 아니하고 나를 대적하여 걸을진대 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
24 나도 너희를 대적하여 걸으며 너희 죄들로 인해 너희를 심지어 일곱 배나 벌하리라. Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
25 내가 칼을 너희에게로 가져다가 내 언약을 불평하는 것에 대한 원수를 갚을 것이며 너희가 너희 도시들 안에 함께 모일 때에 내가 너희 가운데 역병을 보내리니 너희가 원수의 손에 넘겨지리로다. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26 또 내가 너희의 빵 지팡이를 부러뜨릴 때에 여인 열 명이 한 화덕에서 너희의 빵을 굽고 다시 저울에 달아서 너희에게 넘겨주리니 너희가 먹어도 배부르지 아니하리라. And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
27 이 모든 것에도 불구하고 너희가 내 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하고 나를 대적하여 걸을진대 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 나도 격노 중에 너희를 대적하여 걸으며 너희 죄들로 인해 나 곧 내가 일곱 배나 너희를 징계하리니 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 너희가 너희 아들들의 살을 먹으며 너희 딸들의 살을 먹으리라. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
30 내가 너희 산당들을 헐고 너희 형상들을 베어 넘어뜨리며 너희 사체를 너희 우상들의 사체 위에 던지고 내 혼이 너희를 몹시 싫어하리라. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
31 또 내가 너희 도시들을 폐허로 만들고 너희 성소들을 황폐하게 하며 너희의 향기로운 냄새를 맡지 아니하고 And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
32 그 땅을 황폐하게 하리니 그 안에 거하는 너희 원수들이 그것으로 인하여 놀라리라. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
33 내가 너희를 이교도들 가운데로 흩으며 또 칼을 빼어 너희를 뒤따르게 하리니 너희 땅이 황폐하게 되며 너희 도시들이 폐허가 되리라. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
34 그러면 그 땅이 황폐한 채 있고 너희가 너희 원수들의 땅에 거하는 동안에 그 땅이 자기의 안식을 누리리라. 바로 그때에 그 땅이 안식하며 자기의 안식을 누리리니 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
35 너희가 그 땅에 거하며 안식할 때에 그 땅이 안식을 얻지 못하였으므로 그 황폐한 동안에 그 땅이 안식하리라. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
36 너희 중에서 살아남은 자들에게는 내가 그들의 원수들의 땅에서 그들의 마음속에 심약함을 보내리니 흔들리는 잎사귀 소리가 그들을 쫓을 것이요, 그들은 칼을 피하여 도망하듯 도망할 것이며 쫓는 자가 없어도 쓰러지리라. And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
37 그들이 쫓는 자가 없어도 칼 앞에 있는 것 같이 서로 짓밟혀 쓰러지리니 너희가 너희 원수들 앞에서 일어설 힘이 없을 것이요, And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38 너희가 이교도들 가운데서 멸망하리니 너희 원수들의 땅이 너희를 먹어 삼키리라. And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39 또 너희의 남은 자들이 너희 원수들의 땅에서 자기들의 불법 가운데서 쇠약해지며 또 자기 조상들의 불법 가운데서 그 조상들과 함께 쇠약해지리라. And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
40 그들이 만일 자기들의 불법과 자기 조상들의 불법과 자기들이 나를 대적하며 범한 그 범법을 자백하고 또 그들이 나를 대적하여 걸으므로 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
41 나도 그들을 대적하여 걸었으며 또 그들을 그들의 원수들의 땅으로 끌어갔음을 자백하고 그때에 자기들의 할례 받지 않은 마음을 낮추어 자기들의 불법으로 인한 형벌을 수용하면 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
42 내가 야곱과 맺은 내 언약과 또 이삭과 맺은 내 언약을 기억하고 아브라함과 맺은 내 언약도 기억하며 그 땅을 기억하리라. Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
43 그들이 내 판단의 법도를 멸시하며 그들의 혼이 내 법규를 몹시 싫어하였으므로 그들이 그 땅을 떠났을 때에 그 땅도 그들이 없이 황폐한 채로 자기의 안식을 누릴 것이요, 그들은 자기들의 불법으로 인한 형벌을 수용하리라. The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
44 그 모든 것에도 불구하고 그들이 그들의 원수들의 땅에 거할 때에 내가 그들을 버리거나 몹시 싫어하지 아니하여 아주 멸하지 아니하고 그들과 함께 세운 내 언약을 깨뜨리지 아니하리니 나는 주 그들의 하나님이니라. And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God.
45 오직 내가 이교도들의 눈앞에서 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나온 그들의 선조들과 맺은 언약을 그들을 위하여 기억하리니 이것은 내가 그들의 하나님이 되고자 함이니라. 나는 주니라. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.
46 이것들은 주께서 시내 산에서 자신과 이스라엘 자손 사이에 모세의 손을 통하여 세우신 법규와 판단의 법도와 법들이니라. These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
