| 1 | 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 아론의 아들들인 제사장들에게 말하고 그들에게 이르라. 아무도 자기 백성 가운데서 죽은 자로 인하여 자기를 더럽히지 말 것이로되 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people: |
| 2 | 자기에게 가까운 자기 친족 곧 자기 어머니나 아버지나 아들이나 딸이나 형제나 | But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother, |
| 3 | 혹은 남편이 없으며 자기에게 가까운 자기의 처녀 누이로 인하여서는 자기를 더럽힐 수 있느니라. | And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled. |
| 4 | 그러나 그는 자기 백성 가운데서 우두머리이므로 자기를 더럽혀 욕되게 하지 말지니라. | But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself. |
| 5 | 그들은 머리를 대머리로 만들지 말고 수염 끝을 깎지 말며 살을 베지 말고 | They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh. |
| 6 | 자기 하나님께 거룩할 것이며 자기 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 하지 말지니라. 그들은 불로 예비하는 주의 헌물 곧 자기 하나님의 빵을 드리는 자들이므로 거룩할지니라. | They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy. |
| 7 | 그들은 창녀나 더렵혀진 여자를 아내로 취하지 말고 남편이 버린 여자를 취하지 말지니 이는 그가 자기 하나님께 거룩하기 때문이니라. | They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God. |
| 8 | 그러므로 너는 그를 거룩히 구별할지니 이는 그가 네 하나님의 빵을 드리기 때문이니라. 그는 네게 거룩할지니 이는 너희를 거룩히 구별하는 나 주가 거룩하기 때문이니라. | Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctify you, am holy. |
| 9 | ¶어떤 제사장의 딸이 창녀 짓을 행하여 자기를 욕되게 하면 자기 아버지를 욕되게 하나니 그녀를 불로 태울지니라. | And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire. |
| 10 | 자기 형제들 가운데서 기름 부음에 쓰는 기름으로 머리에 부음을 받고 거룩히 구분되어 의복들을 입은 대제사장은 자기 머리를 드러내지 말며 또 자기 옷을 찢지 말고 | And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes; |
| 11 | 어떤 시체에도 가까이 가지 말며 자기 아버지나 어머니로 인해서도 자기를 더럽게 하지 말고 | Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; |
| 12 | 성소에서 나가지 말며 자기 하나님의 성소를 욕되게 하지 말지니라. 그의 하나님의 기름 부음에 쓰는 기름의 관이 그 위에 있느니라. 나는 주니라. | Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the Lord. |

| 14 | 과부나 이혼한 여자나 더렵혀진 여자나 창녀를 취하지 말고 오직 자기 백성 중에서 처녀를 취하여 아내로 삼아 | A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife. |
| 15 | 자기 백성 가운데서 자기 씨를 더럽히지 말지니 나 주가 그를 거룩히 구별하느니라. | Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the Lord do sanctify him. |
| 16 | ¶주께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되, | And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 17 | 아론에게 말하여 이르라. 누구든지 네 씨 중에서 그들의 세대 속에서 흠이 있는 자는 자기 하나님의 빵을 드리려고 다가오지 못할지니라. | Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. |
| 18 | 누구든지 흠이 있는 자는 다가오지 못할지니 곧 눈먼 자나 다리 저는 자나 코가 납작한 자나 몸에 무엇이 더 달린 자나 | For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, |
| 19 | 발이 부러진 자나 손이 부러진 자나 | Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, |
| 20 | 곱사등이나 난쟁이나 눈에 흠이 있는 자나 괴혈병이 있거나 딱지가 있거나 고환이 상한 자는 오지 못할지니라. | Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; |
| 21 | 제사장 아론의 씨 중에서 흠이 있는 자는 가까이 나아와 불로 예비하는 주의 헌물을 드리지 못할지니라. 그는 흠이 있은즉 가까이 나아와 자기 하나님의 빵을 드리지 못할지니라. | No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. |
| 22 | 그는 자기 하나님의 빵 곧 지극히 거룩한 것과 거룩한 것을 먹을 터이나 | He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy. |
| 23 | 휘장 안에는 들어가지 못하며 또 제단에 가까이 가지 못할지니 이는 그가 흠이 있기 때문이라. 그리하면 그가 내 성소들을 더럽히지 아니하리니 나 주가 그것들을 거룩히 구별하느니라. | Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the Lord do sanctify them. |
| 24 | 모세가 아론과 그의 아들들과 이스라엘의 모든 자손에게 그것을 고하였더라. | And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel. |
