| 1 | 그들이 명심하여 정사들과 권능들에게 복종하며 행정관들에게 순종하며 모든 선한 일을 하도록 준비하게 하며 | Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, |
| 2 | 아무도 비방하지 말며 말다툼하는 자가 되지 말며 오직 부드러우며 모든 사람에게 온전히 온유함을 보이게 하라. | To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. |
| 3 | 우리도 한때는 어리석고 불순종하며 속임을 당하고 여러 가지 정욕과 쾌락을 섬기며 악의와 시기 가운데 살고 증오하며 서로 미워하였으나 | For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. |

| 5 | 그분께서 우리를 구원하시되 우리가 행한 의로운 행위로 하지 아니하시고 오직 자신의 긍휼에 따라 다시 태어남의 씻음과 성령님의 새롭게 하심으로 하셨고 | Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; |
| 6 | 예수 그리스도 곧 우리의 구원자를 통하여 우리에게 성령님을 풍성히 부어 주셨으니 | Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; |
| 7 | 이것은 우리가 그분의 은혜로 의롭게 되어 영원한 생명의 소망에 따라 상속자가 되게 하려 하심이라. | That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. |
| 8 | 이것은 신실한 말이로다. 원하건대 너는 확고하게 이것들을 단언하라. 그 목적은 하나님을 믿은 자들이 조심하여 선한 행위들을 지속하게 하려 함이니 이것들은 선하며 사람들에게 유익하니라. | This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. |
| 9 | 그러나 어리석은 변론과 족보와 논쟁과 율법에 관한 다툼들은 피하라. 그것들은 무익하고 헛되니라. | But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. |
| 10 | 이단인 자는 한두 번 훈계한 뒤에 거절하라. | A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; |
| 11 | 네가 알거니와 이러한 자는 타락하여 자신에게 정죄를 받아 죄를 짓느니라. | Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. |
| 12 | 내가 아데마나 두기고를 네게 보내리니 니코폴리스에 있는 나에게 오도록 힘쓰라. 내가 거기서 겨울을 보내기로 작정하였노라. | When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter. |
| 13 | 율법사 세나와 아볼로를 부지런히 도와 여행하게 하고 그들에게 부족한 것이 없게 하라. | Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them. |
| 14 | 또 우리에게 속한 사람들도 필요한 용도를 채워 주기 위해 선한 행위를 지속하는 것을 배워 열매 없는 자가 되지 않게 하라. | And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. |
| 15 | 나와 함께 있는 모든 사람들이 네게 문안하노라. 믿음 안에서 우리를 사랑하는 자들에게 인사하라. 은혜가 너희 모두와 함께 있기를 원하노라. 아멘. ¶크레테 사람들의 교회의 첫째 감독으로 임명받은 디도에게 마케도니아의 니코폴리스에서 써서 보내다. | All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. It was written to Titus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Cretians, from Nicopolis of Macedonia. |
