1	이스라엘의 아들들 이름은 아래와 같다. 르우벤, 시므온, 레위, 유다, 이싸갈, 즈불룬,	These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2	단, 요셉, 베냐민, 납달리, 가드, 아셀.	Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3	유다 지파 유다에게는 에르, 오난, 셀라라는 아들이 있었다. 이 셋은 가나안 사람 수아의 딸에게서 얻은 아들이었다. 유다의 맏아들 에르는 야훼의 눈 밖에 나서 죽임을 당했다.	The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord; and he slew him.
4	유다는 며느리 다말에게서 베레스와 제라를 얻었다. 유다의 아들은 모두 다섯이었다.	And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
5	베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이었고	The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.
6	제라의 아들은 지므리, 에단, 헤만, 갈골, 다라 다섯이었다.	And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
7	지므리의 아들은 가르미였고 가르미의 아들은 아갈이었다. 하느님의 명을 어기고 하느님께 돌릴 것을 가로챘다가 이스라엘에 액운을 끌어들인 사람이 바로 이 아갈이다.	And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
8	에단의 아들은 아자리야이다.	And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.
9	헤스론이 낳은 아들은 여라므엘, 람, 갈렙이다.	The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
10	람은 암미나답을 낳았고 암미나답은 유다 지파의 대표 나흐손을 낳았다.	And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;
11	나흐손은 살마를 낳았고 살마는 보아즈를 낳았다.	And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
12	보아즈는 오벳을 낳았고 오벳은 이새를 낳았다.	And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,
13	이새가 낳은 아들들은 다음과 같다. 맏아들 엘리압, 둘째 아비나답, 셋째 시마,	And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,
14	넷째 느다넬, 다섯째 라때,	Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15	여섯째 오셈, 일곱째 다윗.	Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:
16	그들에게는 스루야와 아비가일이라는 누이가 있었는데, 스루야는 세 아들 아비새, 요압, 아사헬을 낳았고,	Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.
17	아비가일은 이스마엘 사람 예델에게 시집가서 아마사를 낳았다.	And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.
18	헤스론의 아들 갈렙은 아주바라는 아내에게서 여리옷을 낳았고 여리옷은 세 아들 예셀, 소밥, 아르돈을 낳았다.	And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19	아주바가 죽자 갈렙은 에브랏에게 장가들어 후르를 낳았다.	And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.
20	후르는 우리를 낳았고 우리는 브살렐을 낳았다.	And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.
21	그 뒤 헤스론은 나이 육십에 길르앗을 세운 마길의 딸에게 장가들어 그 몸에서 스굽을 얻었다.	And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.
22	스굽은 야이르를 낳았는데, 이 야이르는 길르앗 지방의 스물세 성읍을 차지하였다.	And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.
23	그는 또 그술과 아람에게서 크낫과 거기 딸린 촌락 육십 개를 빼앗았다. 그것은 야이르의 천막촌들이었는데 그 천막촌들이 길르앗을 세운 마길의 후손에게 돌아갔다.	And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
24	헤스론이 죽자 갈렙은 계모 에브라다의 몸에서 드고아를 세운 아스훌을 얻었다.	And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb–ephratah, then Abiah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.
25	헤스론의 맏아들 여라므엘은 람, 그 아래로 부나, 오렌, 오셈, 아히야를 낳았다.	And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.
26	여라므엘에게는 아타라라는 아내가 또 있었는데, 그가 바로 오남의 어머니다.	Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27	여라므엘의 맏아들 람은 마아스, 야민, 에켈을 낳았다.	And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
28	오남은 삼매와 야다를 낳았고 삼매는 나답과 아비술을 낳았다.	And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.
29	아비술은 아비하일이라는 아내에게서 아흐반과 몰릿을 얻었다.	And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.
30	나답은 셀렛과 아빠임이라는 아들을 두었는데, 셀렛은 아들을 낳지 못하고 죽었다.	And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.
31	아빠임의 아들은 이스이, 이스이의 아들은 세산, 세산의 아들은 아흘래였다.	And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.
32	삼매의 아우 야다의 아들은 예델과 요나단이다. 예델은 아들을 낳지 못한 채 죽었고,	And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.
33	요나단은 벨렛과 자자 두 아들을 두었다. 이들이 여라므엘의 후손들이다.	And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34	세산은 아들이 없고 딸뿐이었다. 마침 야르하라는 이집트인 종이 있었는데	Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.
35	세산은 자기 딸 하나를 종 야르하에게 아내로 주어 아때라는 손자를 보았다.	And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.
36	아때는 나단을 낳았고 나단은 자밧을 낳았다.	And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,
37	자밧은 에블랄을 낳았고 에블랄은 오벳을 낳았다.	And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,
38	오벳은 예후를 낳았고 예후는 아자리야를 낳았다.	And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,
39	아자리야는 헬레스를 낳았고 헬레스는 엘라사를 낳았다.	And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,
40	엘라사는 시스매를 낳았고 시스매는 살룸을 낳았다.	And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,
41	살룸은 여카미야를 낳았고 여카미야는 엘리사마를 낳았다.	And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
42	여라므엘의 아우 갈렙의 맏아들은 메사인데 그가 바로 지브를 세운 사람이다. 다음 아들은 헤브론을 세운 마레사다.	Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43	헤브론의 아들은 코라, 다부아, 레겜, 세마.	And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44	세마는 라함을 낳았는데, 그가 바로 요르캄을 세웠다.	And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.
45	레겜은 삼매를 낳았다. 삼매의 아들은 벳술을 세운 마온이다.	And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth–zur.
46	갈렙의 소실 에바는 하란, 모사, 가젯을 낳았고, 하란은 야대를 낳았다.	And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.
47	야대의 아들은 레겜, 요담, 게산, 벨렛, 에바, 사압.	And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48	갈렙의 소실 마아가는 세벨과 디르하나를 낳았다.	Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.
49	또 그는 사압과 스와를 낳았는데 사압은 마드만나를 세웠고 스와는 막베나와 기브아를 세웠다. 갈렙에게는 악사라는 딸도 있었다.	She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50	이들이 갈렙의 후손이다.	These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim,
51	에브라다의 맏아들 후르는 키럇여아림을 세운 소발, 베들레헴을 세운 살마, 벳가델을 세운 하렙을 낳았다.	Salma the father of Beth–lehem, Hareph the father of Beth–gader.
52	키럇여아림을 세운 소발은 마나핫파 반쪽 갈래의 선견자 르아야를 낳았다.	And Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.
53	키럇여아림에 사는 씨족으로는 예델파, 부드파, 수맛파, 미스라파가 있었다. 이 씨족들에게서 소라파와 에스다올파가 나왔다.	And the families of Kirjath–jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.
54	살마의 아들들에게서 베들레헴파, 느토바파, 아타롯파, 벳요압파, 마나핫파의 반, 소라파가 생겼다.	The sons of Salma; Beth–lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.
55	야베스에 사는 소벨인의 씨족으로는 디랏파, 시므앗파, 수갓파가 있었는데, 이들이 레갑 가문의 조상 하맛에게서 뻗어 내려온 켄족이다.	And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
