절	공동번역 개정판 (1999)	King James Version
1	모세에게 시비를 건 미리암과 아론 미리암과 아론은 모세가 에티오피아 여인을 아내로 맞았다고 해서 그를 비판하였다.	And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2	"야훼께서 모세에게만 말씀하시고 우리에게는 말씀하시지 않으시는 줄 아느냐?" 이렇게 투덜거리는 소리를 야훼께서 들으셨다.	And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
3	모세는 실상 매우 겸손한 사람이었다. 땅 위에 사는 사람 가운데 그만큼 겸손한 사람은 없었다.	(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4	야훼께서 모세와 아론과 미리암을 당장 부르셨다. "너희 셋은 당장 만남의 장막으로 나오너라." 셋이 함께 나가자,	And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5	야훼께서 내려오시어 구름기둥으로 장막 입구에 서시고 아론과 미리암을 부르셨다. 그들이 나가 서자	And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
6	말씀하셨다. "너희는 내 말을 들어라. 너희 가운데 예언자가 있다면 나는 그에게 환상으로 내 뜻을 알리고 꿈으로 말해 줄 것이다.	And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7	나의 종 모세는 다르다. 나는 나의 온 집을 그에게 맡겼다.	My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8	내가 모세와는 얼굴을 맞대고 이야기한다. 하나도 숨기지 않고 모두 말해 준다. 모세는 나 야훼의 모습까지 볼 수 있는 사람이다. 그런 나의 종 모세에게 감히 시비를 걸다니, 두렵지도 아니하냐?"	With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9	야훼께서는 이렇게 그들에게 화를 내시고 떠나가셨다.	And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.
10	구름이 장막에서 걷히자 미리암은 문둥병에 걸려 눈처럼 하얗게 되어 있는 것이었다. 아론은 미리암이 문둥병에 걸린 것을 돌아보고	And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
11	모세에게 빌었다. "우리의 영도자여, 우리가 어리석어서 저지른 이 잘못을 벌하지 마시오.	And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12	미리암을 저렇게 살이 뭉그러진 채 죽어 태어난 아이처럼 두지는 마시오."	Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.
13	모세가 야훼께 부르짖었다. "하느님, 미리암을 고쳐주십시오."	And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
14	야훼께서 모세에게 이르셨다. "미리암의 얼굴에 아비가 침을 뱉었다면, 부끄러워 이레 동안 들어앉아 있어야 하는 법 아니냐? 그러니 미리암을 진 바깥으로 내쫓았다가 이레가 지난 다음에 돌아오게 하여라."	And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15	미리암은 이레 동안 진 밖에 쫓겨나가 있었다. 그 동안 백성은 거기에 머물러 있다가 미리암이 돌아온 다음에야	And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16	하세롯을 떠나 바란 광야에 이르러 진을 쳤다.	And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
