| 1 | အိုဣသရေလအမျိုး၊ တပါးအမျိုးသားကဲ့သို့ ဝမ်းမြောက်ရွှင်မြူးသော စိတ်ရှိ၍မခုန်နှင့်။ ကိုယ်ဘုရား သခင်၌ မဆည်းကပ်၊ အခြားသော ဘုရားနှင့် မှားယွင်း ပြီ။ ကောက်နယ်တလင်းရှိသမျှတို့၌ မှားယွင်းခကို နှစ် သက်တတ်၏။ | Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor. |
| 2 | ကောက်နယ်တလင်းအားဖြင့် အသက်မမွေးရ။ စပျစ်သီးနယ်ရာ ကျင်းအားဖြင့်လည်း အသက်မမွေးရ။ စပျစ်ရည်သစ်လည်း သူတို့ မြော်လင့်သည်အတိုင်း မထွက် ရ။ | The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her. |
| 3 | ဧဖရိမ်အမျိုးတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ မြေ တော်၌ မနေရဘဲ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သို့ ပြန်သွား၍၊ အာရှုရိ ပြည်၌ မစင်ကြယ်သောအစာကို စားရကြမည်။ | They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria. |
| 4 | စပျစ်ရည်သွန်းလောင်းရာ ပူဇော်သက္ကာကို ထာဝရဘုရားအား မပြုရကြ။ ပူဇော်သော ယဇ်တို့ကို နှစ်သက်တော်မမူရ။ ထိုယဇ်အသားသည် မသာလိုက်၍ ငိုကြွေးမြည်တမ်းသော သူတို့၏အစာကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ စား သောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ညစ်ညူးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြလိမ့် မည်။ သူတို့အစာကို ကိုယ်တိုင်စားကြစေ။ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အိမ်တော်ထဲသို့ မသွင်းစေနှင့်။ | They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the Lord. |

| 6 | ပျက်စီးရာထဲက သူတို့သည် ထွက်သွားကြပြီ။ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်၌စု၍ မင်ဖိမြို့၌ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငွေ တန်ဆာဆင်သော နေရာဘုံဗိမာန်များကို ဆူးအမျိုးမျိုး တို့သည် လွှမ်းမိုးကြလိမ့်မည်။ | For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles. |
| 7 | စစ်ကြောရသော အချိန်ရောက်လေပြီ။ အပြစ် ပေးရသောအချိန်ရောက်လေပြီ။ ဣသရေလအမျိုး သိရလိမ့်မည်။ ပရောဖက်သည် အမိုက်ဖြစ်၏။ ဝိညာဉ်ဆု ကျေးဇူးကို ခံသောသူသည် အရူးဖြစ်၏။ သင်၌ အပြစ် ကြီးသည်အတိုင်း ကြီးစွာသော ဖျက်ဆီးခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။ | The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. |

| 10 | တော၌ စပျစ်သီးကဲ့သို့ ဣသရေလအမျိုးကို ငါ တွေ့၏။ သီးစသော သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်၌ အဦးဆုံးမှည့် သော သင်္ဘောသဖန်းသီးကဲ့သို့ သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများကို ငါမြင်၏။ သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်အလိုအလျောက် ဗာလပေဂုရ ဘုရားထံသို့ သွား၍၊ ထိုရှက်ဘွယ်သောအရာအဘို့ ကိုယ်ကို အပ်နှံသဖြင့် တပ်မက်သည်အတိုင်း စက်ဆုပ် ရွံရှာဘွယ်သော အမှုတို့ကို ပြုကြ၏။ | I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal–peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved. |
| 11 | ဧဖရိမ်၏ဘုန်းသည် ငှက်ကဲ့သို့ ပျံသွားလိမ့်မည်။ သားဘွားခြင်း၊ ကိုယ်ဝန်ဆောင်ခြင်း၊ ပဋိသန္ဓေယူခြင်း မရှိရ။ | As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. |
| 12 | သားသမီးတို့ကို ကျွေးမွေးသော်လည်း၊ တယောက်ကိုမျှ မကျန်စေခြင်းငှါ ငါလုယူမည်။ အကယ် ၍ သူတို့ကို ငါစွန့်ပစ်သောအခါ အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them! |
| 13 | ဧဖရိမ်သည် တုရုမြို့ကဲ့သို့ ငြိမ်ဝပ်ရာအရပ်၌ တည်ဟန်ရှိသော်လည်း၊ မိမိသားသမီးတို့ကို လူသတ်လက် သို့ အပ်ရလိမ့်မည်။ | Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. |
| 14 | အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ ပေးသနားတော်မူပါ။ အဘယ် သို့ ပေးတော်မူရမည်နည်း။ ကိုယ်ဝန်မဆောင်သော ဝမ်း၊ နို့မထွက်သော သားမြတ်ကို ပေးတော်မူပါ။ | Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. |
| 15 | ဂိလဂါလမြို့၌ သူတို့ပြုသမျှသော ဒုစရိုက်ရှိ၍၊ ထိုအရပ်၌ သူတို့ကို ငါမုန်း၏။ သူတို့ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ် ကြောင့် ငါ့အိမ်မှ ငါနှင်ထုတ်မည်။ နောက်တဖန် သူတို့ကို မချစ်။ သူတို့ မင်းအပေါင်းတို့သည် ပုန်ကန်တတ်သော သူဖြစ်ကြ၏။ | All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters. |
| 16 | ဧဖရိမ်သည် အထိအခိုက်ခံရသောကြောင့်၊ အမြစ်သွေ့ခြောက်လျက်ရှိ၍ အသီးကို မသီးနိုင်ရာ။ သားဘွားသော်လည်း၊ အချစ်ဆုံးသော သားတို့ကို ငါသတ်မည်။ | Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. |
| 17 | ငါ့ဘုရားသခင်၏ စကားတော်ကို နားမထောင် သောကြောင့် စွန့်ပစ်တော်မူ၍၊ သူတို့သည် တပါးအမျိုး သားတို့တွင် အရပ်ရပ်သို့ လှည့်လည်ရကြမည်။ | My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations. |
