| 1 | နောက်တဖန်ယောသပ်သည် အဘနာကြောင်းကို ကြားသဖြင့်၊ သားနှစ်ယောက် မနာရှေနှင့်ဧဖရိမ်ကို ယူ၍သွား၏။ | And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. |
| 2 | သားယောသပ်လာကြောင်းကို ယာကုပ်သည် ကြားလျှင်၊ အားထုတ်၍ ခုတင်ပေါ်မှာထိုင်၏။ | And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed. |
| 3 | ထိုအခါ ယာကုပ်က၊ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင် ဘုရား သခင်သည်၊ ခါနာန်ပြည် လုဇမြို့၌ ငါ့အားထင်ရှား၍ ကောင်းကြီးပေးတော်မူလျက်၊ | And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, |
| 4 | ငါသည်သင့်ကို တိုးပွါးများပြားစေမည်။ သင့်ကို များစွာသော လူဖြစ်စေမည်။ သင်၏အမျိုးအနွယ်သည် သင့်နောက်မှ ဤပြည်ကို အစဉ်အမြဲပိုင်စေခြင်းငှါ ငါပေး မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession. |
| 5 | သင်နေသော အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သို့ ငါမရောက်မှီ၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်၌ သင်ရနှင့်သော သားနှစ်ယောက်၊ ဧဖရိမ် နှင့် မနာရှေတို့သည် ငါ့သားဖြစ်ရမည်။ ရုဗင်နှင့်ရှိမောင် ကဲ့သို့ ငါ့သားဖြစ်ရမည်။ | And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. |
| 6 | နောက်မှသင်ရသော သားတို့သည် သင်၏သား ဖြစ်၍ မိမိအမွေခံရာတွင် မိမိအစ်ကိုတို့အမည်ဖြင့် သမုတ် ရကြမည်။ | And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance. |
| 7 | ငါသည်ပါဒနာရံအရပ်မှ လာသည်ကာလ၊ ခါနာန်ပြည်၌ ခရီးသွား၍၊ ဧဖရတ်မြို့နှင့်နီးသောအခါ၊ သင့်အမိရာခေလသည် ငါ့အနားမှာ သေရှာ၏။ သေ သောအရပ် ဗက်လင်အမည်ရှိသော ဧဖရတ်မြို့သို့ သွား သောလမ်း၌ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်လေသည်ဟု ယောသပ်အားဆို၏။ | And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Beth–lehem. |
| 8 | တဖန်ဣသရေလသည် ယောသပ်၏သားတို့ကို ကြည့်ရှု၍၊ ဤသူတို့ကား အဘယ်သူနည်းမေးလျှင်၊ | And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who are these? |
| 9 | ယောသပ်က၊ဤပြည်၌ အကျွန်ုပ်အား ဘုရား သခင် ပေးသနားတော်မူသော အကျွန်ုပ်၏ သားဖြစ်ပါ သည်ဟု အဘအားဆိုသော်၊ အဘက၊ ငါ့ထံသို့ လာပါစေ လော့။ သူတို့ကို ငါကောင်းကြီးပေးမည်ဟု ဆို၏။ | And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them. |
| 10 | ဣသရေလသည် အသက်ကြီး၍ မျက်စိမှုန် သဖြင့်၊ မမြင်နိုင်သောကြောင့်၊ သားတို့ကို အနီးသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်စေ၍ ပိုက်ဘက်နမ်းရှုပ်လေ၏။ | Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them. |
| 11 | ဣသရေလကလည်း၊ ငါသည် သင်၏မျက်နှာကို မြင်ရမည်ဟု ငါမထင်။ ယခုတွင်သင်၏သားတို့ကိုပင် ဘုရားသခင်ပြတော်မူပြီဟု ယောသပ်အား ဆို၏။ | And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed. |
| 12 | ယောသပ်သည်လည်း၊ သားတို့ကို အဘ၏ဒူး ကြားမှ ထုတ်၍ အဘရှေ့၌ဦးညွှတ်ချစေ၏။ | And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth. |
| 13 | တဖန်ယောသပ်သည် သားတို့ကိုယူ၍ ဧဖရိမ်ကို လက်ျာလက်နှင့် ကိုင်လျက်၊ ဣသရေလ လက်ဝဲလက်သို့၎င်း၊ မနာရှေကို လက်ဝဲလက်နှင့် ကိုင်လျက်၊ ဣသရေလ လက်ျာလက်သို့၎င်း ချဉ်းကပ်စေ၏။ | And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near unto him. |
| 14 | မနာရှေသည်သားဦးဖြစ်သော်လည်း၊ ဣသ ရေလသည် မိမိလက်တို့ကို ဆန့်၍လိမ္မာစွာ ပဲ့ပြင်လျက်၊ အသက်ငယ်သောသူ ဧဖရိမ်၏ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ လက်ျာ လက်ကို တင်ပြီးလျှင်၊ လက်ဝဲလက်ကို မနာရှေ၏ ခေါင်း ပေါ်မှာ တင်၏။ | And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn. |
| 15 | ယောသပ်ကို ကောင်းကြီးပေးလျက်၊ ငါ့အဘ အာဗြဟံနှင့်ဣဇာက်ကိုးကွယ်သော ဘုရားသခင်၊ ငါ့ကို တသက်လုံး ယနေ့တိုင်အောင် ကျွေးမွေးတော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်တည်းဟူသော၊ | And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, |
| 16 | ငါ့ကိုခပ်သိမ်းသော ဘေးဒဏ်အထဲက ကယ် နှုတ်တော်မူသော ကောင်းကင်တမန်သည်၊ ဤသူငယ် တို့ကို ကောင်းကြီးပေးတော်မူပါစေသော။ သူတို့ကို ငါ့အမည်ဖြင့်၎င်း၊ ငါ့အဘအာဗြဟံနှင့် ဣဇာက်၏အမည် ဖြင့်၎င်း၊ ထပ်၍မှည့်ပါစေသော။ သူတို့သည် မြေကြီးပေါ် မှာ အလွန်တိုး ပွါးများပြားပါစေသောဟု မြွက်ဆို၏။ | The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. |
| 17 | အဘသည်လက်ျာလက်ကို ဧဖရိမ်၏ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ တင်သည်ကို ယောသပ်မြင်လျှင်၊ အားမရ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ | And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head. |
| 18 | မဟုတ်ပါအဘ။ ဤသူသည် သားဦးဖြစ်ပါ၏။ သူ၏ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ လက်ျာလက်ကိုတင်ပါဟု ဆိုလျက် အဘ၏ လက်ကိုဧဖရိမ်ခေါင်းပေါ်က မနာရှေခေါင်းပေါ် သို့ ပြောင်းခြင်းငှါ ချီလေ၏။ | And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. |
| 19 | အဘသည်ငြင်း၍၊ ငါသိ၏ငါသား၊ ငါသိ၏။ သူသည် ကြီးစွာသော လူစုဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ သူ့ညီသည် သူ့ထက်သာ၍ ကြီးသဖြင့်၊ သူ၏ အမျိုး အနွှယ်သည် များစွာသော လူအစုစုဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု ဆို၏။ | And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. |
| 20 | တဖန်ဘုရားသခင်သည် သင့်ကို ဧဖရိမ်ကဲ့သို့ ၎င်း၊ မနာရှေကဲ့သို့၎င်း ဖြစ်စေတော်မူပါစေသောဟူ၍ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ သည်သင်အားဖြင့် ကောင်းကြီးပေးကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု တိုနေ့၌သူတို့ကိုကောင်းကြီးပေးလေ၏။ ထိုသို့မနာရှေရှေ့မှာ ဧဖရိမ်ကိုနေရာချသတည်း။ | And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. |
| 21 | ဣသရေလကလည်း၊ ငါသေတော့မည်။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် သင်တို့ဘက်၌ရှိ၍၊ သင်တို့ကို ဘိုးဘေးနေရာ ပြည်သို့ တဖန် ဆောင်တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။ | And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. |
| 22 | ထိုမှတပါး သင်၏အစ်ကိုတို့အားပေးသည်ထက် သင့်အားသာ၍ ပေးသောအရာဟူမူကား၊ ငါ့ထား၊ ငါ့ လေးဖြင့် အာမောရိအမျိုးသားလက်မှ နှုတ်ယူသောအရာ ကို သင့်အား ငါပေးသည်ဟု ယောသပ်ကို ပြောဆို၏။ | Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow. |
