| 1 | အထပ်ထပ်ဆုံးမခြင်းကို ခံသော်လည်း၊ မိမိ လည်ပင်းကို ခိုင်မာစေသောသူသည် ကိုးကွယ်ရာမရ၊ ရုတ်တရက် ပျက်စီးလိမ့်မည်။ | He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. |
| 2 | ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့သည် အခွင့်ရသော အခါ၊ ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်တတ်ကြ၏။ မတရားသောသူတို့သည် အုပ်စိုးသောအခါမူကား၊ ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့သည် ဝမ်းနည်းတတ်ကြ၏။ | When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. |

| 5 | အိမ်နီးချင်းကို ချော့မော့သော သူသည် အိမ်နီး ချင်းသွားရာလမ်း၌ ကွန်ရွက်ကို ဖြန့်ထား၏။ | A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet. |
| 6 | အဓမ္မလူပြစ်မှားရာ၌ ကျော့ကွင်းထောင်လျက် ရှိ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ ရွှင်လန်းစွာ သီချင်း ဆိုတတ်၏။ | In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice. |
| 7 | ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူသည် ဆင်းရဲသားအမှုကို ဆင်ခြင်တတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူမူကား၊ ထိုအမှုကို ပမာဏမပြုတတ်။ | The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it. |
| 8 | မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသော သူတို့သည် မြို့ကို မီးရှို့တတ် ၏။ ပညာရှိသော သူတို့မူကား၊ ဒေါသအမျက်ကို လွှဲတတ် ၏။ | Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath. |
| 9 | ပညာရှိသောသူသည် မိုက်သောသူနှင့် အမှု တွေ့လျှင်၊ စိတ်ဆိုးသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ပြုံးရယ်သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ အားရစရာအကြောင်းမရှိ။ | If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest. |
| 10 | လူအသက်ကို သတ်တတ်သောသူတို့သည် စုံလင်သောသူကို မုန်းတတ်ကြ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူတို့မူကား၊ သူတပါးအသက်ကို စောင့်မတတ်ကြ၏။ | The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul. |
| 11 | မိုက်သောသူသည် မိမိကြံစည်သမျှကို ဘော်ပြ တတ်၏။ပညာရှိသောသူမူကား၊ အဆင်မသင့်မှီ ထိမ်ဝှက် တတ်၏။ | A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. |
| 12 | မင်းသည်မုသာစကားကို နားထောင်လျှင်၊ ကျွန် အပေါင်းတို့သည် လူဆိုးဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ | If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked. |
| 13 | ဆင်းရဲသောသူနှင့် ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူတို့သည် တွေ့ကြုံကြပြီ။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ထိုနှစ်ဦးတို့အား အလင်းကို ပေးသနားတော်မူ၏။ | The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes. |
| 14 | ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို တရားသဖြင့် စီရင်သော ရှင် ဘုရင်၏အာဏာတော်သည် အစဉ်အမြဲတည်တတ်၏။ | The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. |
| 15 | ကြိမ်လုံးနှင့်ရိုက်ခြင်း၊ နှုတ်နှင့်ဆုံးမခြင်းအားဖြင့် ပညာတိုးပွါးတတ်၏။ တတ်တိုင်းနေစေသော သူငယ်သည် အမိကို အရှက်ခွဲတတ်၏။ | The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. |
| 16 | မတရားသောသူတို့သည် များပြားသောအခါ၊ လွန်ကျူးခြင်းအပြစ်တိုးပွားတတ်၏။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ သူတို့ ပျက်စီးခြင်းကို ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့သည် မြင်ရကြ၏။ | When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. |
| 17 | သင်၏သားကို ဆုံးမလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သူသည် သင့်ကို ချမ်းသာပေးမည်။ ထိုမျှမက စိတ်ရွှင်လန်းစရာ အခွင့်ကို ပေးမည်။ | Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. |
| 18 | ဗျာဒိတ်တော်မရှိလျှင်၊ လူတို့သည် အကျိုးနည်း ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ တရားတော်ကို စောင့်သောသူမူကား မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ၏။ | Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. |
| 19 | စကားအားဖြင့်သာ ကျွန်ကို ဆုံးမ၍ မနိုင်ရာ။ သူသည် နားလည်သော်လည်း၊ နားမထောင်ဘဲ နေလိမ့် မည်။ | A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer. |
| 20 | သတိမရှိဘဲစကားများသော သူရှိလျှင်၊ ထိုသူ၌ မြော်လင့် စရာအခွင့်ရှိသည်ထက်၊ မိုက်သောသူ၌သာ၍ မြော်လင့်စရာ အခွင့်ရှိ၏။ | Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him. |
| 21 | ကျွန်သည်ငယ်သော အရွယ်မှစ၍ ပျော်ပါး အောင် ကျွေးမွေးခြင်းကိုခံရလျှင်၊ နောက်ဆုံး၌ သား အရာကို ရလိမ့်မည်။ | He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length. |
| 22 | စိတ်ဆိုးတတ်သောသူသည် ခိုက်ရန်မှုကို နှိုးဆော် တတ်၏။ ပြင်းထန်သောသူသည်လည်း၊ အလွန်အကျူး များတတ်၏။ | An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. |
| 23 | မိမိမာနသည် မိမိကိုနှိမ့်ချလိမ့်မည်။ စိတ်နှိမ့်ချ သောသူမူကား၊ ဂုဏ်အသရေကိုရလိမ့်မည်။ | A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. |
| 24 | သူခိုးကိုလက်ခံသောသူသည် မိမိအသက်ကိုမုန်း တတ်၏။ ကျိန်ဆိုခြင်းကိုပြုသော်လည်း၊ အမှုကိုမဘော် မပြတတ်။ | Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not. |
| 25 | လူကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်း သဘောသည် ကျော့ကွင်း ကို ထောင်တတ်၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ခိုလှုံသောသူမူ ကား လုံခြုံလိမ့်မည်။ | The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. |
| 26 | မင်းပြုသော ကျေးဇူးကိုများသောသူတို့သည် ကြိုးစား၍ ရှာတတ်ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ခပ်သိမ်းသောသူ တို့၏အမှုကို ထာဝရဘုရားစီရင်တော်မူ၏။ | Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord. |
| 27 | တရားသောသူသည် မတရားသောသူကို၎င်း၊ မတရားသောသူသည်တရားသဖြင့် ကျင့်သောသူကို၎င်း၊ စက်ဆုပ်ရွံရှာ တတ်၏။ | An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked. |
