| 1 | ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ယောဘစကားကို လှန်ပြန်၍၊ မိုဃ်းသက်မုန်တိုင်းထဲက မိန့်တော်မူသည် ကား၊ | Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, |
| 2 | ပညာမရှိဘဲစကားပြောကာမျှနှင့် ငါ့အကြံကို မိုက်စေသော ဤ သူကား အဘယ်သူနည်း။ | Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? |
| 3 | လူယောက်ျားကဲ့သို့ သင့်ခါးကို စီးလော့။ ငါမေးမြန်းသော ပြဿနာတို့ကို ဖြေလော့။ | Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. |
| 4 | မြေကြီးအမြစ်ကို ငါတည်သောအခါ၊ သင်သည် အဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်း။ နားလည်လျှင် ဘော်ပြလော့။ | Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. |
| 5 | မြေကြီးအတိုင်းအရှည်ပမာဏကို အဘယ်သူ စီရင်သနည်း။ နားလည်လျှင်ပြောလော့။ မျဉ်းကြိုးကို အဘယ်သူတန်း၍ချသနည်း။ | Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? |
| 6 | မြေကြီးတိုက်မြစ်ကို အဘယ်အရပ်၌ စွဲစေ သနည်း။ | Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; |
| 7 | နံနက်ကြယ်တို့သည် တညီတညွတ်တည်း သီချင်းဆို၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်သားအပေါင်းတို့သည် ဝမ်း မြောက်သဖြင့်၊ ကြွေးကြော်ကြစဉ်၊ တိုက်ထောင့်အထွဋ် ကျောက်ကို အဘယ်သူတင်ထားသနည်း။ | When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? |
| 8 | သမုဒ္ဒရာသည်အမိဝမ်းထဲက ဘွား၍ ထွက်လာ သောအခါ၊ အဘယ်သူသည် တံခါးပိတ်နှင့် ပိတ်ထား သနည်း။ | Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? |
| 9 | သမုဒ္ဒရာကို မိုဃ်းတိမ်နှင့် ငါခြုံ၍ ထူထပ်သော မှောင်မိုက်နှင့် ထုပ်ရစ်သည်ကာလ၌၎င်း၊ | When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, |
| 10 | သင်သည်ဤအရပ်တိုင်အောင်လာရ၏။ | And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, |
| 11 | တိုး၍မလွန်ရ၊ ဤအရပ်၌သင်၏ ထောင်လွှားသောလှိုင်းတံပိုးဆုံးရ၏ဟု ပညက်လျက်၊ သမုဒ္ဒရာအပိုင်း အခြားကို ငါစီရင်၍၊ တံခါးပိတ်နှင့်ကန့်လန့်ကျင်တို့ကို ထားသည်ကာလ၌၎င်း၊ အဘယ်သူသည် ဝိုင်း၍ ကူညီ သနည်း။ | And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? |
| 12 | သင်သည်တသက်လုံးတွင် တခါမျှ နံနက်ကို မှာထားဘူးသလော။ မိုဃ်းသောက်လင်းကို နေရာချဘူး သလော။ | Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; |
| 13 | နံနက်အလင်းသည် မြေကြီးစွန်းကိုကိုင်လျက်၊ လူဆိုးတို့ကိုခါ၍ ပစ်စေခြင်းငှါ စီရင်ဘူးသလော။ | That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? |
| 14 | မြေကြီးသည် တံဆိပ်ခတ်သကဲ့သို့ပုံပေါ်၍ အဝတ်တန်ဆာဆင်သကဲ့သို့ ရှိ၏။ | It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment. |
| 15 | လူဆိုးတို့၏ အလင်းသည်ကွယ်၍ ချီကြွသော လက်လည်း ကျိုးတတ်၏။ | And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. |
| 16 | သင်သည်သမုဒ္ဒရာ စမ်းရေပေါက်ထဲသို့ ဝင်ဘူးသလော။ နက်နဲသော အောက်ဆုံးအရပ်၌ လှည့်လည်ဘူး သလော။ | Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? |
| 17 | သေခြင်းတံခါးတို့ကို သင့်အားဖွင့်ဘူးသလော။ သေမင်းအရိပ်ထဲသို့ဝင်သော လမ်းဝတို့ကို မြင်ဘူး သလော။ | Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? |
| 18 | မြေကြီးမျက်နှာတပြင်လုံးကို ကြည့်ရှုဘူး သလော။ အလုံးစုံကို သိမြင်လျှင်ဘော်ပြလော့။ | Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all. |
| 19 | အလင်းနေရာသို့ အဘယ်မည်သော လမ်းဖြင့် ရောက်ရသနည်း။ မှောင်မိုက်နေရာလည်း အဘယ်မှာ ရှိသနည်း။ | Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof, |
| 20 | အကယ်စင်စစ်သင်သည် အလင်းအမိုက်အပိုင်း အခြားသို့ ငါတို့ ကိုပို့ဆောင်နိုင်၏။ သူတို့နေရာအိမ်သို့ ရောက်သောလမ်းတို့ကို သိလိမ့်မည်။ | That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof? |
| 21 | သင်သည်ရှေးကာလ၌ ဘွားမြင်၍ အလွန် အသက်ကြီးသောကြောင့် သိလိမ့်မည်။ | Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great? |
| 22 | သင်သည် မိုဃ်းပွင့်ဘဏ္ဍာတိုက်ထဲသို့ ဝင်ဘူး သလော။ | Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, |
| 23 | ဘေးရောက်ရာအချိန်ကာလနှင့် စစ်ပြိုင်၍ တိုက်ရာအချိန်ကာလဘို့၊ ငါသိုထားသော မိုဃ်းသီးဘဏ္ဍာ များကို မြင်ဘူးသလော။ | Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? |
| 24 | အလင်းသည် အဘယ်သို့သောလမ်းဖြင့် နှံ့ပြားသနည်း။ အရှေ့လေသည်မြေကြီးပေါ်မှာ အဘယ်ကြောင့် လွင့်သနည်း။ | By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? |
| 25 | လူမရှိသောမြေနှင့် လူမနေသောတော၌ မိုဃ်း ရွာစေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ | Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; |
| 26 | လွတ်လပ်သောလွင်ပြင်ကို ရေနှင့်ဝစေ၍၊ နုသောမြက်ပင်အညှောက်ကို ထွက်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ | To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; |
| 27 | လျှံသောမိုဃ်းရေစီးရာလမ်း၊ မိုဃ်းကြိုးနှင့် ဆိုင်သော လျှပ်စစ်ပြက်ရာလမ်းကို အဘယ်သူဖွင့်သနည်း။ | To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? |
| 28 | မိုဃ်းရေ၏အဘကား အဘယ်သူနည်း။ နှင်း ပေါက်တို့ကို အဘယ်သူဖြစ်ဘွားစေသနည်း။ | Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew? |
| 29 | ရေခဲသည်အဘယ်သူ၏ ဝမ်းထဲက ထွက်လာ သနည်း။ မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်နှင်းခဲကို အဘယ်သူသည် ပဋိသန္ဓေပေးသနည်း။ | Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it? |
| 30 | ရေသည် ကျောက်ခဲကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍ ပင်လယ် မျက်နှာတင်းမာလျက် ရှိ၏။ | The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. |
| 31 | သင်သည် ခိမကြယ်စု၏သာယာစွာ ပြုပြင်ခြင်း ကို ချုပ်တည်းနိုင်သလော။ ကသိလကြယ်၏ ချည်နှောင် ခြင်းကို ဖြည်နိုင်သလော။ | Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? |
| 32 | မာဇရုတ်ကြယ်တို့ကို အချိန်ရောက်လျှင် ထုတ် ဘော်နိုင်သလော။ အာရှကြယ်နှင့်သူ၏သားတို့ကို ပဲ့ပြင် နိုင်သလော။ | Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? |
| 33 | မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်တရားတို့ကို နားလည် သလော။ ထိုတရားတို့သည် မြေကြီးကို အုပ်စိုးမည် အကြောင်း အခွင့်ပေးနိုင်သလော။ | Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? |
| 34 | များစွာသော မိုဃ်းရေသည် သင့်ကို လွှမ်းမိုး စေခြင်းငှါ မိုဃ်းတိမ်တို့ကို အသံလွှင့်နိုင်သလော။ | Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? |
| 35 | လျှပ်စစ်တို့ကို လွှတ်နိုင်သလော။ သူတို့က ကျွန်တော်တို့ရှိပါ၏ဟု သင့်ကိုလျှောက်လျက် သွားကြ လိမ့်မည်လော။ | Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are? |
| 36 | ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာထဲသို့ ပညာကို အဘယ်သူသွင်း သနည်း။ နားလည်နိုင်သောဉာဏ်ကို အဘယ်သူပေး သနည်း။ ပညာရှိ၍ မိုဃ်းတိမ်တို့ကို အဘယ်သူရေတွက် နိုင်သနည်း။ | Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart? |
| 37 | မြေမှုန့်သည် လုံးထွေး၍ မြေစိုင်တို့သည် ကပ်လျက်နေသောအခါ၊ | Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven, |
| 38 | မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်၏ရေဘူးတို့ကို အဘယ်သူသွန်းချသနည်း။ | When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together? |
| 39 | သင်သည်ခြင်္သေ့မအဘို့ စားစရာအကောင်ကို လိုက်ရှာနိုင်သလော။ | Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions, |
| 40 | ခြင်္သေ့ပျိုတို့သည် ခိုလှုံရာ၌ဝပ်၍၊ ချုံဖုတ် အောက်၌ ချောင်းကြည့်လျက်နေသောအခါ၊ သူတို့ကို ဝစွာကျွေးနိုင်သလော။ | When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait? |
| 41 | ကျီးအသငယ်တို့သည် စားစရာမရှိကြောင့်လှည့်လည်၍ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုအော်ဟစ်သောအခါ၊ စားစရာကိုအဘယ်သူပေးသနည်း။ | Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat. |
