1 သို့ဖြစ်၍ အိုယောဘ၊ ငါမြွက်ဆိုသောစကား အလုံးစုံတို့ကို နားထောင်နာယူပါလော့။ Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
2 ငါသည် ယခုနှုတ်ကိုဖွင့်၍ လျှာနှင့်မြွက်ဆိုသော အခါ၊ Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
3 ငါသဘောဖြောင့်သည်နှင့်အညီ ငါ့စကား ဖြောင့်လိမ့်မည်။ ငါ့နှုတ်သည်ရှင်းလင်းသော ပညာစကား ကို မြွက်ဆိုလိမ့်မည်။ My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
4 ဘုရားသခင်၏ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ငါ့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူပြီ။ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်၏ အသက်တော် သည် ငါ့ကို အသက်ရှင်စေတော်မူပြီ။ The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
5 သင်သည်တတ်နိုင်လျှင် ငါ့ကို ပြန်ပြောလော့။ ကိုယ်စကားကို ပြင်ဆင်လော့။ ကြိုးစားလော့။ If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.
6 ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့မှာ ငါသည်သင်နှင့်တူ၏။ ငါသည်လည်း မြေမှုန့်ဖြင့် ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူရာဖြစ်၏။ Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
7 သင်သည် ကြောက်ရွံ့ရမည်အကြောင်း ငါ၌ ကြောက်မက်ဘွယ်သော အရာမရှိ။ သင့်အပေါ်မှာ ငါသည် လေးသောလက်ကိုမတင်။ Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
8 အကယ်စင်စစ်သင့်စကားသံကို ငါကြားသည် အတိုင်း သင်မြွက်ဆိုသောစကားဟူမူကား၊ Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
9 ငါသည် စင်ကြယ်သောသဘောရှိ၏။ ပြစ်မှား ခြင်းကို မပြုတတ်။ ငါ၌အပြစ်မရှိ။ သန့်ရှင်းခြင်းရှိ၏။ I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
10 ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါ၌ အပြစ်တင်ခွင့်ကို ရှာတော်မူ၏။ ငါ့ကို ရန်သူကဲ့သို့ မှတ်တော်မူ၏။ Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
11 ငါ့ကို ထိတ်ခတ်တော်မူ၏။ ငါထွက်ရာလမ်းရှိ သမျှတို့ကို စောင့်တော်မူ၏ဟု ဆိုမိပြီ။ He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
12 ထိုသို့ဆိုသော်မှားပြီ။ ငါပြန်ပြောသောစကားဟူ မူကား၊ အကယ်စင်စစ် ဘုရားသခင်သည် လူထက် ကြီးမြတ်တော်မူ၏။ Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
13 ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက် ပြုသနည်း။ ပြုတော်မူသော အမှုတို့၏အကြောင်းကို ပြတော်မမူ။ Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
14 ဘုရားသခင်သည် တကြိမ်မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူ၏။ လူမရိပ်မိလျှင် နှစ်ကြိမ်တိုင်အောင် မိန်မြွက်တော်မူ၏။ For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
15 လူသည်အိပ်ရာပေါ်မှာငိုက်လျက် အိပ်ပျော် လျက်နေသောအခါ အိပ်မက်မြင်၍၊ ညဉ့်ရူပါရုံကို ခံရသောအားဖြင့်၊ In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
16 ဘုရားသခင်သည် လူ၏နားကို ဖွင့်၍ ဆုံးမပေး တော်မူတတ်၏။ Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
17 ထိုသို့လူသည် မိမိအကြံကိုစွန့်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ မာန်မာနနှင့် ကင်းလွတ်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း ပြုတော်မူ၏။ That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
18 သူ၏အသက်ကို သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းမှကွယ်ကာ၍၊ ထားဘေးဖြင့် မသေစေခြင်းငှါ စောင့်မတော်မူ၏။ He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
19 လူသည် အိပ်ရာပေါ်မှာနာခြင်းဝေဒနာကို ခံရ ၍၊ အရိုးရှိသမျှတို့သည် ပြင်းထန်စွာ ကိုက်ခဲသဖြင့်၊ He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:
20 မုန့်နှင့်မြိန်သော ခဲဘွယ်စားဘွယ်တို့ကို သူ၏ စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်သည် ရွံ့ရှာ၏။ So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.
21 အသားအရေပိန်လျော့ ကွယ်ပျောက်၍၊ မထင် ရှားဘူးသော အရိုးတို့လည်း ပေါ်ကြ၏။ His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
22 အသက်ဝိညာဉ်သည် သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းနားသို့၎င်း၊ ဖျက်ဆီးသော တမန်လက်သို့၎င်း ရောက်လုပြီ။ Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
23 သို့ရာတွင်လူတို့အားတရားလမ်းကို ပြစေခြင်းငှါ၊ တထောင်တွင် အထွဋ်ဖြစ်၍၊ တရားစကားကို ပြန်တတ် သော တမန်ရှိလျှင်၊ If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
24 ဘုရားသခင်က၊ သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းထဲသို့ထိုသူကို မဆင်းစေဘဲ ကယ်တင်လော့။ ရွေးရာအကြောင်းကို ငါတွေ့ပြီဟု ကရုဏာစိတ်ရှိ၍ မိန့်တော်မူသောအားဖြင့်၊ Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
25 ထိုသူသည် သူငယ်ထက်အသားအရေနုထွား၍ ပျိုသောအသက်နှင့်တဖန်ပြည့်စုံလိမ့်မည်။ His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth:
26 ဘုရားသခင်ကို ဆုတောင်း၍ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ခံရသဖြင့်၊ ဝမ်းမြောက်သောစိတ်နှင့် မျက်နှာတော်ကို ဖူးမြင်ရလိမ့်မည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းအကျိုးကို လူတို့အား ဘုရားသခင်ပေးတော်မူတတ်၏။ He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
27 သူကလည်း၊ ငါသည် ပြစ်မှားပါပြီ။ မှန်သော တရားကိုမှောက် ပါပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ကိုယ်ခံထိုက်သော အပြစ်ကိုမခံရဘဲ၊ He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
28 သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းထဲသို့ ငါ့ကိုမဆင်းစေဘဲ ကယ်တင် တော်မူသဖြင့်၊ ငါ့အသက်သည် မှောင်မိုက်နှင့် လွတ် လျက်ရှိ၏ဟု လူတို့တွင် သီချင်းဆိုရလိမ့်မည်။ He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
29 ထိုသို့ဘုရားသခင်သည် လူတို့၌ ရံခါရံခါစီရင် တော်မူသဖြင့်၊ Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
30 သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းမှနှုတ်ယူ၍၊ အသက်ရှင်သော သူတို့၏အလင်းနှင့် လင်းစေတော်မူ၏။ To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
31 အိုယောဘ၊ ငါ့စကားကို သတိနှင့်နားထောင် လော့။ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာနေလော့။ ငါပြောပါမည်။ Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.
32 သို့သော်လည်း ပြောစရာရှိလျှင် ပြန်ပြောလော့။ သင့်ကို အပြစ်လွတ်စေခြင်းငှါ၊ ငါအလိုရှိသောကြောင့် စကားပြောလော့။ If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.
33 ပြောစရာမရှိလျှင်၊ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာနေ၍ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်လော့။ ပညာကိုငါသွန်သင်ပါမည် ဟု မြွက်ဆို၏။ If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
