| 1 | ယောဘပြန်၍ မြွက်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ | Then Job answered and said, |
| 2 | ယခု ငါပြင်းစွာ မြည်တမ်းသော်လည်း၊ ငါခံရသောဒဏ်သည်သာ၍ ပြင်းပါ၏။ | Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning. |
| 3 | ဘုရားသခင်ကိုတွေ့နိုင်သော အရပ်ကို ငါသိပါစေသော။ ပလ္လင်တော်ရှေ့သို့ ရောက်ပါစေသော။ | Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat! |
| 4 | ရှေ့တော်သို့ရောက်မှ ငါသည် ကိုယ်အမှုကိုပြင်ဆင်၍၊ များစွာသောအကျိုးအကြောင်းတို့ကို လျှောက်ထားရ၏။ | I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. |
| 5 | ငါ့အားပြန်ပြောမိန့်မြွက်တော်မူသော စကားတော်ကို ငါသိနားလည်ရ၏။ | I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. |
| 6 | မဟာတန်ခိုးတော်အားဖြင့် ငါနှင့်တရား တွေ့တော်မူမည်လော။ တွေ့တော်မမူ။ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင် တော်မူမည်။ | Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me. |
| 7 | ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် ရှေ့တော်၌ဆွေးနွေးသော အခွင့်ရှိ၍၊ တရားရှင်သည် ငါ့အမှုကို အစဉ် ရှင်းလင်းစေတော်မူမည်။ | There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge. |
| 8 | ယခုမူကား၊ ငါတက်လျှင် ဘုရားသခင်ရှိတော်မမူ။ ဆုတ်လျှင် ကိုယ်တော်ကို မရိပ်မိ၊ | Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: |
| 9 | လုပ်တော်မူရာ လက်ဝဲဘက်သို့သွားလျှင် ကိုယ်တော်ကို မဖူးမတွေ့ရ။ လက်ျာဘက်၌ ပုန်းရှောင် လျက် နေတော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုမမြင်ရ။ | On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: |
| 10 | သို့သော်လည်းငါသွားသောလမ်းကို သိတော်မူ၏။ စစ်တော်မူခြင်းကို ခံပြီးမှ၊ ရွှေကဲ့သို့ငါပေါ်လိမ့်မည်။ | But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. |
| 11 | ခြေတော်ရာကိုအစဉ်တစိုက် ငါရှောက်သွား၍၊ ကြွတော်မူရာလမ်းကို မလွှဲမရှောင်လိုက်ပါ၏။ | My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. |
| 12 | ထားတော်မူသော ပညတ်တို့ကို ငါမပယ်။ နှုတ်တော်ထွက် စကားတို့ကို ငါရင်ခွင်၌ သိုထားပါ၏။ | Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. |
| 13 | သို့ရာတွင် သဘောတညီတည်းရှိတော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်ကို အဘယ်သူသည် ပြောင်းလဲစေနိုင်မည် နည်း။ အလိုတော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း ပြုတော်မူလိမ့်မည်။ | But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. |
| 14 | ငါ့အငန်းအတာကို စီရင်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုသို့သော အကြံအစည်တော်အများရှိကြ၏။ | For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. |
| 15 | ထိုကြောင့်ရှေ့တော်၌ ငါထိတ်လန့်လျက်နေ၍ ဆင်ခြင်သောအခါ၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ရ၏။ | Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. |
| 16 | ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါ့စိတ်ပျက်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်သည် ငါကြောက်ရွံ့စေခြင်းငှါ ပြုတော် မူ၏။ | For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me: |
| 17 | အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မှောင်မိုက်မရောက်မှီ ငါ့ကို ပယ်ရှင်းတော်မမူ၊ ဝစူထပ်သောမှောင်မိုက်မှ ငါ့ကို ကွယ်ကာတော်မမူပါတကား။ | Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face. |
