| 1 | နေမတ်အမျိုးသား ဇောဖာမြွက်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ | Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, |
| 2 | စကားများ၍ အကျိုးရှိသည်မဟုတ်။ နှုတ်သီး ကောင်းသောသူသည် မိမိအပြစ်နှင့် လွတ်ရမည်လော။ | Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? |
| 3 | သင်ပြောသောမုသာစကားကြောင့် သူတပါးတို့သည် တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာနေရမည်လော။ သင်ကဲ့ရဲ့သောအခါ အဘယ်သူသည် အရှက်မကွဲနေရမည်နည်း။ | Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? |
| 4 | သင်က၊ ငါ့စကားဖြောင့်၏။ ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့တော်၌ ငါသန့်ရှင်း၏ဟု ဆိုမိပြီ။ | For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes. |
| 5 | ဘုရားသခင်မိန့်တော်မူပါစေ။ သင့်တဘက်၌ နှုတ်တော်ကို ဖွင့်တော်မူပါစေ။ | But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee; |
| 6 | နက်နဲသော ပညာအရာတည်းဟူသော သင်နားလည်နိုင်သည်ထက်၊ နှစ်ဆသာသောအရာတို့ကို သင့်အားပြတော်မူပါစေ။ ထိုသို့ပြတော်မူလျှင် သင်သည် အပြစ်ခံထိုက်သည်အတိုင်း အပြစ်ပေးတော်မမူကြောင်း ကိုသိရလိမ့်မည်။ | And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. |
| 7 | သင်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဇာတိတော်ကို စစ်၍ တွေ့နိုင်သလော။ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်၏ ဇာတိကို စစ်၍ အကုန်အစင် နားလည်နိုင်သလော။ | Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? |
| 8 | မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်ကိုမှီသည်ဖြစ်၍ သင်သည်အဘယ်သို့ပြုနိုင်သနည်း။ မရဏာနိုင်ငံထက် နက်သည် ဖြစ်၍ သင်သည်အဘယ်သို့ သိနိုင်သနည်း။ | It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? |
| 9 | အတိုင်းအရှည်သည် မြေကြီးကိုလွန်လျက် သမုဒ္ဒရာထက်သာ၍ ကျယ်ဝန်းလျက်ရှိ၏။ | The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. |
| 10 | ဘုရားသခင်သည် ဘမ်းဆီးချုပ်ထား၍ စစ်ကြောတော်မူလျှင် အဘယ်သူဆီးတားနိုင်သနည်း။ | If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him? |
| 11 | ဘုရားသခင်သည် ဆိုးသောသူတို့၏ သဘောကို သိတော်မူ၏။ သူတို့အမှတ်တမဲ့ပြုသော ဒုစရိုက်ကို သိမြင်တော်မူ၏။ | For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it? |
| 12 | သို့သော်လည်း ရိုင်းသောမြည်းကလေးသည် လူအဖြစ်သို့ရောက်သောအခါ၊ လူမိုက်သည် ပညာ သတိရလိမ့်မည်။ | For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt. |
| 13 | သင်သည် စိတ်နှလုံးကို ပြင်ဆင်၍ လက်တို့ကို ဘုရားသခင်ထံတော်သို့ ဆန့်လျှင်၎င်း၊ | If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; |
| 14 | သင်ပြုသော ဒုစရိုက်ကိုပယ်၍ သင့်အိမ်၌ ဆိုးညစ်သောအမှုကို လက်မခံလျှင်၎င်း၊ | If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. |
| 15 | အညစ်အကြေးနှင့်ကင်းလွတ်သော မျက်နှာကို ပြရလိမ့်မည်။ စိုးရိမ်စရာအကြောင်းမရှိ၊ တည်ကြည် လိမ့်မည်။ | For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: |
| 16 | ခံပြီးသောဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲကို မေ့လျော့လိမ့်မည်။ လွန်သွားပြီးသော ရေကိုကဲ့သို့ အောက်မေ့လိမ့်မည်။ | Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: |
| 17 | သင်၏အသက်သည်မွန်းတည့်အရောင်ထက် ထွန်းလင်းလိမ့်မည်။ ယခုမှောင်မိုက်သော်လည်း နံနက် ကဲ့သို့ လင်းလိမ့်မည်။ | And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. |
| 18 | မြော်လင့်စရာရှိသောကြောင့် မစိုးရိမ်ဘဲနေလိမ့်မည်။ ယခုအရှုံးခံရသော်လည်း လုံခြုံစွာ ငြိမ်ဝပ်လိမ့်မည်။ | And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. |
| 19 | အိပ်သောအခါ အဘယ်သူမျှ မချောက်မလှန့်ရ။ လူများတို့သည် သင့်ကိုတောင်းပန်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee. |
| 20 | ဆိုးသော သူတို့၏မျက်စိသည် အားလျော့လိမ့်မည်။ သူတို့သည် ပြေး၍မလွတ်ရကြ။ သူတို့မြော်လင့် စရာအကြောင်းသည် အခိုးအငွေ့သက်သက်ဖြစ်သည်ဟု မြွက်ဆို၏။ | But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. |
