| 2 | ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါတို့ဘက်မှာ ရှိတော် မမူလျှင်၊ လူတို့သည် ငါတို့ရန်ဘက်၌ နေကြသောအခါ၊ | If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: |
| 3 | အမျက်ထွက်၍ ငါတို့ကို အသက်နှင့်တကွ မျိုကြပြီတကား။ | Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: |
| 4 | ထိုအခါ ငါတို့ကို ရေသည်၊ လွှမ်းမိုး၍ စီးသော ရေသည် ငါတို့ဝိညာဉ်အပေါ်မှာ ကျော်သွားပြီ တကား။ | Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: |
| 5 | စော်ကားသော ရေတို့သည် ငါတို့အသက် ဝိညာဉ်အပေါ်မှာ ကျော်သွားကြပြီတကား။ | Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. |
| 6 | သူတို့သွားနှင့် ကိုက်ခဲရာဘို့ ငါတို့ကို အပ်တော် မမူသော ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မင်္ဂလာရှိတော်မူစေ သတည်း။ | Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. |
| 7 | ငှက်သည် မုဆိုးတို့၏ ကျော့ကွင်းထဲက လွတ် သကဲ့သို့၊ ငါတို့အသက်သည် လွတ်လျက်ရှိ၏။ ကျော့ကွင်း ပြတ်၍ ငါတို့သည် လွတ်ကြပြီ။ | Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. |
| 8 | ကောင်းကင်နှင့် မြေကြီးကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော် မူသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော်အားဖြင့်၊ ငါတို့သည် မစခြင်းကျေးဇူးကို ခံရကြသတည်း။ | Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. |
