| 1 | 我等は[キリストの]助手として、汝等が神の恩寵を徒に受けざらん事を勧む、 | We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. |
| 2 | 蓋曰はく、「我宜き時に汝の願を聴き救の日に汝を助けたり」と。今こそは宜き時なれ、今こそは救の日なれ。 | (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) |
| 3 | 我等聖役を譏られざらん為に誰の意をも損はず、 | Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: |
| 4 | 却て萬事に於て己を神の役者として顕す。即ち大いなる堪忍を以て、患難にも、困窮にも、苦悩にも、 | But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, |
| 5 | 負傷するも、監獄に在るも、騒亂にも、勞働にも、徹夜にも、断食にも。 | In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; |
| 6 | 貞潔と學識と、耐忍と温良と、聖霊[の好果]と僞なき愛と、 | By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, |
| 7 | 眞理の言と神の御力と、左右に持る義の武器とを以て、 | By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, |
| 8 | 又尊榮と耻辱、惡評と好評とを以て、人を惑はす者の如くにして而も眞實に、知られざるが如くにして而も人に知られ、 | By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; |
| 9 | 死するに似て而も活くる事斯の如く、懲さるるに似て而も殺されず、 | As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; |
| 10 | 憂ふるが如くなるも常に喜び、乏しきが如くなるも多くの人を富ましめ、有する所なきが如くにして一切を有し、[以て神の役者として己を顕すなり]。 | As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. |
| 11 | 嗚呼コリント人よ、我等の口は汝等に開き、我等の心は広くなれり、 | O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. |
| 12 | 汝等が我等の中に狭めらるるには非ず、汝等の腸こそ狭きなれ。 | Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. |
| 13 | 我わが子に謂ふが如くに語らん、我に等しく報いん為に汝等も開かれよ。 | Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. |
| 14 | 汝等不信者と軛を同じうする事勿れ、蓋義と不義と何の與る所かあらん、光と闇と何の與する所かあらん、 | Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? |
| 15 | キリストとベリアルと何の約する所かあらん、信者と不信者と何の關る所かあらん、 | And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? |
| 16 | 神殿と偶像と何の一致する所かあらん、神の曰へる如く、汝等は活ける神の[神]殿なり、曰く、「我彼等の中に住み、彼等の間に歩まんとす、而して我彼等の神となり、彼等我民となるべし」、 | And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. |
| 17 | 又、「主曰はく、然れば汝等彼等の中より出でて之を離れよ、不潔なるものに触る事勿れ、 | Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, |
| 18 | 斯て我汝等を承けて汝等の父となり、汝等わが子女とならん、と全能の神曰へり」と。 | And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. |
