1 アダムの系図は次のとおりである。神が人を創造された時、神をかたどって造り、 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
2 彼らを男と女とに創造された。彼らが創造された時、神は彼らを祝福して、その名をアダムと名づけられた。 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 アダムは百三十歳になって、自分にかたどり、自分のかたちのような男の子を生み、その名をセツと名づけた。 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
4 アダムがセツを生んで後、生きた年は八百年であって、ほかに男子と女子を生んだ。 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
5 アダムの生きた年は合わせて九百三十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
6 セツは百五歳になって、エノスを生んだ。 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
7 セツはエノスを生んだ後、八百七年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:
8 セツの年は合わせて九百十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.
9 エノスは九十歳になって、カイナンを生んだ。 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:
10 エノスはカイナンを生んだ後、八百十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:
11 エノスの年は合わせて九百五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.
12 カイナンは七十歳になって、マハラレルを生んだ。 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:
13 カイナンはマハラレルを生んだ後、八百四十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:
14 カイナンの年は合わせて九百十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.
15 マハラレルは六十五歳になって、ヤレドを生んだ。 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:
16 マハラレルはヤレドを生んだ後、八百三十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:
17 マハラレルの年は合わせて八百九十五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.
18 ヤレドは百六十二歳になって、エノクを生んだ。 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:
19 ヤレドはエノクを生んだ後、八百年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
20 ヤレドの年は合わせて九百六十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
21 エノクは六十五歳になって、メトセラを生んだ。 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 エノクはメトセラを生んだ後、三百年、神とともに歩み、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 エノクの年は合わせて三百六十五歳であった。 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 エノクは神とともに歩み、神が彼を取られたので、いなくなった。 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
25 メトセラは百八十七歳になって、レメクを生んだ。 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:
26 メトセラはレメクを生んだ後、七百八十二年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:
27 メトセラの年は合わせて九百六十九歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
28 レメクは百八十二歳になって、男の子を生み、 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
29 「この子こそ、主が地をのろわれたため、骨折り働くわれわれを慰めるもの」と言って、その名をノアと名づけた。 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
30 レメクはノアを生んだ後、五百九十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:
31 レメクの年は合わせて七百七十七歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.
32 ノアは五百歳になって、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
