| 2 | 「大権と恐れとは神と共にある。彼は高き所で平和を施される。 | Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. |
| 3 | その軍勢は数えることができるか。何物かその光に浴さないものがあるか。 | Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? |
| 4 | それで人はどうして神の前に正しくありえようか。女から生れた者がどうして清くありえようか。 | How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? |
| 5 | 見よ、月さえも輝かず、星も彼の目には清くない。 | Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. |
| 6 | うじのような人、虫のような人の子はなおさらである」。 | How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? |
