| 1 | 神よ、どうかわたしをあわれんでください。人々がわたしを踏みつけ、あだする人々がひねもすわたしをしえたげます。 | Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. |
| 2 | わたしの敵はひねもすわたしを踏みつけ、誇りたかぶって、わたしと戦う者が多いのです。 | Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. |
| 3 | わたしが恐れるときは、あなたに寄り頼みます。 | What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. |
| 4 | わたしは神によって、そのみ言葉をほめたたえます。わたしは神に信頼するゆえ、恐れることはありません。肉なる者はわたしに何をなし得ましょうか。 | In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. |
| 5 | 彼らはひねもすわたしの事を妨害し、その思いはことごとくわたしにわざわいします。 | Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. |
| 6 | 彼らは共に集まって身をひそめ、わたしの歩みに目をとめ、わたしのいのちをうかがい求めます。 | They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. |
| 7 | 神よ、彼らにその罪を報い、憤りをもってもろもろの民を倒してください。 | Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God. |
| 8 | あなたはわたしのさすらいを数えられました。わたしの涙をあなたの皮袋にたくわえてください。これは皆あなたの書にしるされているではありませんか。 | Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? |
| 9 | わたしが呼び求める日に、わたしの敵は退きます。これによって神がわたしを守られることを知ります。 | When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. |
| 10 | わたしは神によってそのみ言葉をほめたたえ、主によってそのみ言葉をほめたたえます。 | In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. |
| 11 | わたしは神に信頼するゆえ、恐れることはありません。人はわたしに何をなし得ましょうか。 | In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. |
| 12 | 神よ、わたしがあなたに立てた誓いは果さなければなりません。わたしは感謝の供え物をあなたにささげます。 | Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. |
| 13 | あなたはわたしの魂を死から救い、わたしの足を守って倒れることなく、いのちの光のうちで神の前にわたしを歩ませられたからです。 | For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? |
