| 1 | わたしは常に主をほめまつる。そのさんびはわたしの口に絶えない。 | I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. |
| 2 | わが魂は主によって誇る。苦しむ者はこれを聞いて喜ぶであろう。 | My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. |
| 3 | わたしと共に主をあがめよ、われらは共にみ名をほめたたえよう。 | O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. |
| 4 | わたしが主に求めたとき、主はわたしに答え、すべての恐れからわたしを助け出された。 | I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. |
| 5 | 主を仰ぎ見て、光を得よ、そうすれば、あなたがたは、恥じて顔を赤くすることはない。 | They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. |
| 6 | この苦しむ者が呼ばわったとき、主は聞いて、すべての悩みから救い出された。 | This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. |
| 7 | 主の使は主を恐れる者のまわりに陣をしいて彼らを助けられる。 | The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. |
| 8 | 主の恵みふかきことを味わい知れ、主に寄り頼む人はさいわいである。 | O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. |
| 9 | 主の聖徒よ、主を恐れよ、主を恐れる者には乏しいことがないからである。 | O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. |
| 10 | 若きししは乏しくなって飢えることがある。しかし主を求める者は良き物に欠けることはない。 | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. |
| 11 | 子らよ、来てわたしに聞け、わたしは主を恐るべきことをあなたがたに教えよう。 | Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. |
| 12 | さいわいを見ようとして、いのちを慕い、ながらえることを好む人はだれか。 | What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? |
| 13 | あなたの舌をおさえて悪を言わせず、あなたのくちびるをおさえて偽りを言わすな。 | Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. |
| 14 | 悪を離れて善をおこない、やわらぎを求めて、これを努めよ。 | Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. |
| 15 | 主の目は正しい人をかえりみ、その耳は彼らの叫びに傾く。 | The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. |
| 16 | 主のみ顔は悪を行う者にむかい、その記憶を地から断ち滅ぼされる。 | The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. |
| 17 | 正しい者が助けを叫び求めるとき、主は聞いて、彼らをそのすべての悩みから助け出される。 | The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. |
| 18 | 主は心の砕けた者に近く、たましいの悔いくずおれた者を救われる。 | The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. |
| 19 | 正しい者には災が多い。しかし、主はすべてその中から彼を助け出される。 | Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. |
| 20 | 主は彼の骨をことごとく守られる。その一つだに折られることはない。 | He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. |
| 21 | 悪は悪しき者を殺す。正しい者を憎む者は罪に定められる。 | Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. |
| 22 | 主はそのしもべらの命をあがなわれる。主に寄り頼む者はひとりだに罪に定められることはない。 | The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. |
