| 1 | 正しき者よ、主によって喜べ、さんびは直き者にふさわしい。 | Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. |
| 2 | 琴をもって主をさんびせよ、十弦の立琴をもって主をほめたたえよ。 | Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. |
| 3 | 新しい歌を主にむかって歌い、喜びの声をあげて巧みに琴をかきならせ。 | Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. |
| 4 | 主のみことばは直く、そのすべてのみわざは真実だからである。 | For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. |
| 5 | 主は正義と公平とを愛される。地は主のいつくしみで満ちている。 | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. |
| 6 | もろもろの天は主のみことばによって造られ、天の万軍は主の口の息によって造られた。 | By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. |
| 7 | 主は海の水を水がめの中に集めるように集め、深い淵を倉におさめられた。 | He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. |
| 8 | 全地は主を恐れ、世に住むすべての者は主を恐れかしこめ。 | Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. |
| 9 | 主が仰せられると、そのようになり、命じられると、堅く立ったからである。 | For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. |
| 10 | 主はもろもろの国のはかりごとをむなしくし、もろもろの民の企てをくじかれる。 | The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. |
| 11 | 主のはかりごとはとこしえに立ち、そのみこころの思いは世々に立つ。 | The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. |
| 12 | 主をおのが神とする国はさいわいである。主がその嗣業として選ばれた民はさいわいである。 | Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
| 13 | 主は天から見おろされ、すべての人の子らを見、 | The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. |
| 14 | そのおられる所から地に住むすべての人をながめられる。 | From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. |
| 15 | 主はすべて彼らの心を造り、そのすべてのわざに心をとめられる。 | He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. |
| 16 | 王はその軍勢の多きによって救を得ない。勇士はその力の大いなるによって助けを得ない。 | There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. |
| 17 | 馬は勝利に頼みとならない。その大いなる力も人を助けることはできない。 | An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. |
| 18 | 見よ、主の目は主を恐れる者の上にあり、そのいつくしみを望む者の上にある。 | Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; |
| 19 | これは主が彼らの魂を死から救い、ききんの時にも生きながらえさせるためである。 | To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. |
| 20 | われらの魂は主を待ち望む。主はわれらの助け、われらの盾である。 | Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. |
| 21 | われらは主の聖なるみ名に信頼するがゆえに、われらの心は主にあって喜ぶ。 | For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. |
| 22 | 主よ、われらが待ち望むように、あなたのいつくしみをわれらの上にたれてください。 | Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
