| 1 | 愚かな者は心のうちに「神はない」と言う。彼らは腐れはて、憎むべき事をなし、善を行う者はない。 | The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. |
| 2 | 主は天から人の子らを見おろして、賢い者、神をたずね求める者があるかないかを見られた。 | The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. |
| 3 | 彼らはみな迷い、みなひとしく腐れた。善を行う者はない、ひとりもない。 | They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. |
| 4 | すべて悪を行う者は悟りがないのか。彼らは物食うようにわが民をくらい、また主を呼ぶことをしない。 | Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord. |
| 5 | その時、彼らは大いに恐れた。神は正しい者のやからと共におられるからである。 | There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous. |
| 6 | あなたがたは貧しい者の計画をはずかしめようとする。しかし主は彼の避け所である。 | Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge. |
| 7 | どうか、シオンからイスラエルの救が出るように。主がその民の繁栄を回復されるとき、ヤコブは喜び、イスラエルは楽しむであろう。 | Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. |
