| 3 | 海はこれを見て逃げ、ヨルダンはうしろに退き、 | The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. |
| 4 | 山は雄羊のように踊り、小山は小羊のように踊った。 | The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. |
| 5 | 海よ、おまえはどうして逃げるのか、ヨルダンよ、おまえはどうしてうしろに退くのか。 | What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? |
