| 2 | 今より、とこしえに至るまで主のみ名はほむべきかな。 | Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. |
| 3 | 日のいずるところから日の入るところまで、主のみ名はほめたたえられる。 | From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised. |
| 4 | 主はもろもろの国民の上に高くいらせられ、その栄光は天よりも高い。 | The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. |
| 5 | われらの神、主にくらぶべき者はだれか。主は高き所に座し、 | Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, |
| 6 | 遠く天と地とを見おろされる。 | Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! |
| 7 | 主は貧しい者をちりからあげ、乏しい者をあくたからあげて、 | He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; |
| 8 | もろもろの君たちと共にすわらせ、その民の君たちと共にすわらせられる。 | That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. |
| 9 | また子を産まぬ女に家庭を与え、多くの子供たちの喜ばしい母とされる。主をほめたたえよ。 | He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord. |
