| 1 | 彼が神殿から出て行く時，弟子たちの一人が彼に言った，「先生，ご覧ください，何という石，何という建物でしょう！」 | And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! |
| 2 | イエスは彼に言った，「これらの大きな建物を見ているのか。ここで石が崩されずにほかの石の上に残ることはないだろう」 。 | And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
| 3 | 彼がオリーブ山で神殿に向かって座っていた時，ペトロ，ヤコブ，ヨハネ，アンデレが，ひそかに尋ねた， | And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, |
| 4 | 「わたしたちに教えてください。それらのことはいつ起きるのですか。それらのことがすべて果たされるというしるしは何ですか」。 | Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? |
| 5 | イエスは答えて，彼らにこう告げ始めた。「だれもあなた方を惑わすことがないように注意しなさい。 | And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: |
| 6 | 多くの者がわたしの名においてやって来て，『わたしがその者だ！』と言って，多くの者を惑わすだろう。 | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. |
| 7 | 「戦争のことや戦争のうわさを聞く時，動転してはいけない。これらのことは起こらなければならないが，終わりはまだなのだ。 | And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. |
| 8 | 民族は民族に，王国は王国に敵対して立ち上がるからだ。あちこちで地震がある。ききんと混乱がある。これらは産みの苦しみの始まりだ。 | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. |
| 9 | だが，自分自身を見張っていなさい。というのは，人々はあなた方を地方法廷に引き渡すだろう。あなた方は会堂で打ちたたかれる。あなた方はわたしのために支配者たちや王たちの前に立つことになる。彼らに対する証言のためだ。 | But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. |
| 10 | 福音がまず，あらゆる民族に宣教されなければならない。 | And the gospel must first be published among all nations. |
| 11 | 人々があなた方を連行して引き渡す時，あらかじめ思い煩ったり，何を言おうかと前もって考えたりしてはいけない。むしろ，その時にあなた方に与えられることを言いなさい。語っているのはあなた方ではなく，聖霊なのだ。 | But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. |
| 12 | 「兄弟は兄弟を，父は子供を死に引き渡すだろう。子供たちは両親に敵対して立ち上がり，彼らを死に至らせるだろう。 | Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. |
| 13 | あなた方はわたしの名のためにすべての者たちから憎まれるだろう。だが，最後まで耐え忍ぶ者，その者が救われるだろう。 | And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| 14 | だが，預言者ダニエルによって語られた，荒廃させる嫌悪すべきものが，立ってはならない所に立っているのを見るなら（読者は理解せよ），その時，ユダヤにいる者たちは山に逃げなさい。 | But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains: |
| 15 | また，屋上にいる者は降りてはならず，自分の家から何かを取り出そうとして中に入ってもいけない。 | And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: |
| 16 | 畑にいる者は外衣を取りに戻ってはいけない。 | And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. |
| 17 | だが，それらの日，妊娠している者たちと赤子に乳を飲ませている者たちにとっては災いだ！ | But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! |
| 18 | あなた方の逃走が冬に起こらないように祈っていなさい。 | And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. |
| 19 | それらの日には，神が造られた創造物のはじめから今に至るまで起きたことがなく，また二度と起きないような苦しみがあるからだ。 | For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. |
| 20 | 主がその日々を短くされなかったなら，肉なる者はだれも救われないだろう。だが，ご自分が選び出されたその選ばれた者たちのために，主はその日々を短くされたのだ。 | And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. |
| 21 | その時，だれかがあなた方に，『見よ，ここにキリストがいる！』とか，『見よ，あそこだ！』などと告げても，それを信じてはいけない。 | And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: |
| 22 | 偽キリストたちや偽預言者たちが現われて，できるなら選ばれた者たちをさえ惑わそうとして，しるしと不思議な業を行なうからだ。 | For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. |
| 23 | けれども，あなた方は気を付けていなさい。 「見よ，わたしはあなた方にすべてのことをあらかじめ告げている。 | But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. |
| 24 | だが，それらの日，その苦しみの後に，太陽は暗くなり，月は光を放たなくなり， | But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, |
| 25 | 星々は天から落ち，天にあるもろもろの力は揺り動かされるだろう。 | And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. |
| 26 | その時，人々は，人の子が大いなる力と栄光を伴って雲のうちに来るのを見るだろう。 | And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. |
| 27 | その時，彼は自分のみ使いたちを遣わし，四方の風から，地の果てから天の果てまで，自分の選ばれた者たちを集め寄せるだろう。 | And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. |
| 28 | 「さあ，イチジクの木からこのたとえを学びなさい。その枝が柔らかくなり，葉を出すと，あなた方は夏の近いことを知る。 | Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: |
| 29 | そのようにあなた方も，これらのことが起こるのを見たなら，彼が戸口にまで近づいていることを知りなさい。 | So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. |
| 30 | 本当にはっきりとあなた方に告げる。これらのすべてのことが起きるまでは，この世代は過ぎ去らない。 | Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. |
| 31 | 天と地は過ぎ去るだろう。それでも，わたしの言葉は過ぎ去らないのだ。 | Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. |
| 32 | だが，その日やその時刻についてはだれも知らない。天のみ使いたちも子も知らず，ただ父だけが知っておられる。 | But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. |
| 33 | 見張っていて，警戒し続け，祈っていなさい。あなた方はその時がいつかを知らないからだ。 | Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. |
| 34 | 「それは，自分の家を離れて，自分の召使いたちにそれぞれ仕事を託して権威を与え，門番にも見張り続けるよう命じて，外国に旅行する人のようなものだ。 | For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. |
| 35 | だから見張っていなさい。家の主人がいつ来るか，夕方か，真夜中か，おんどりの鳴くころか，早朝かを，あなた方は知らないのだから。 | Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: |
| 36 | 主人が突然やって来て，あなた方の眠っているところを見つけるようなことのないためだ。 | Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. |
| 37 | わたしがあなた方に告げることは，すべての者に告げるのだ。見張っていなさい」 。 | And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. |
