| 2 | 神は大權を握りたまふ者 畏るべき者にましまし 高き處に平和を施したまふ | Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. |
| 3 | その軍旅數ふることを得んや 其光明なに物をか照さざらん | Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? |
| 4 | 然ば誰か神の前に正義かるべき 婦人の產し者いかでか清かるべき | How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? |
| 5 | 視よ月も輝かず 星も其目には清明ならず | Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. |
| 6 | いはんや蛆のごとき人 蟲のごとき人の子をや | How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? |
