| 1 | 第七の封印を解き給ひたれば、凡そ半時のあひだ天 靜なりき。 | And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. |
| 2 | われ神の前に立てる七人の御使を見たり、彼らは七つのラッパを與へられたり。 | And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. |
| 3 | また他の一人の御使、金の香爐を持ちきたりて祭壇の前に立ち、多くの香を與へられたり。これは凡ての聖徒の祈に加へて、御座の前なる金の香壇の上に献げんためなり。 | And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. |
| 4 | 而して香の煙、御使の手より聖徒たちの祈とともに神の前に上れり。 | And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. |
| 5 | 御使その香爐をとり、之に祭壇の火を盛りて地に投げたれば、數多の雷霆と聲と電光と、また地震おこれり。 | And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. |
| 6 | ここに七つのラッパをもてる七人の御使これを吹く備をなせり。 | And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. |
| 7 | 第一の御使ラッパを吹きしに、血の混りたる雹と火とありて、地にふりくだり、地の三分の一 燒け失せ、樹の三分の一 燒け失せ、もろもろの青 草 燒け失せたり。 | The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. |
| 8 | 第二の御使ラッパを吹きしに、火にて燃ゆる大なる山の如きもの海に投げ入れられ、海の三分の一 血に變じ、 | And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; |
| 9 | 海の中の造られたる生命あるものの三分の一 死に、船の三分の一 滅びたり。 | And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. |
| 10 | 第三の御使ラッパを吹きしに、燈火のごとく燃ゆる大なる星、天より隕ちきたり、川の三分の一と水の源泉との上におちたり。 | And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; |
| 11 | この星の名は苦艾といふ。水の三分の一は苦艾となり、水の苦くなりしに因りて多くの人 死にたり。 | And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. |
| 12 | 第四の御使ラッパを吹きしに、日の三分の一と月の三分の一と星の三分の一と撃たれて、その三分の一は暗くなり、晝も三分の一は光なく、夜も亦おなじ。 | And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. |
| 13 | また見しに、一つの鷲の中空を飛び、大なる聲して言ふを聞けり。曰く『地に住める者どもは禍害なるかな、禍害なるかな、禍害なるかな、尚ほかに三人の御使の吹かんとするラッパの聲あるに因りてなり』 | And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! |
