| 1 | 惡をなすものの故をもて心をなやめ 不義をおこなふ者にむかひて嫉をおこすなかれ | Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. |
| 2 | かれらはやがて草のごとくかりとられ靑菜のごとく打萎るべければなり | For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. |
| 3 | ヱホバによりたのみて善をおこなへ この國にとどまり眞實をもて糧とせよ | Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. |
| 4 | ヱホバによりて歓喜をなせ ヱホバはなんぢが心のねがひを汝にあたへたまはん | Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. |
| 5 | なんぢの途をヱホバにゆだねよ 彼によりたのまば之をなしとげ | Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. |
| 6 | 光のごとくなんぢの義をあきらかにし午日のごとくなんぢの訟をあきらかにしたまはん | And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. |
| 7 | なんぢヱホバのまへに口をつぐみ忍びてこれを俟望め おのが途をあゆみて榮るものの故をもて あしき謀略をとぐる人の故をもて心をなやむるなかれ | Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. |
| 8 | 怒をやめ忿恚をすてよ 心をなやむるなかれ これ惡をおこなふ方にうつらん | Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. |
| 9 | そは惡をおこなふものは斷滅され ヱホバを俟望むものは國をつぐべければなり | For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. |
| 10 | あしきものは久しからずしてうせん なんぢ細密にその處をおもひみるともあることなからん | For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. |
| 11 | されど謙だるものは國をつぎ また平安のゆたかなるを樂まん | But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. |
| 12 | 惡きものは義きものにさからはんとて謀略をめぐらし之にむかひて切歯す | The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. |
| 13 | 主はあしきものを笑ひたまはん かれが日のきたるを見たまへばなり | The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. |
| 14 | あしきものは劍をぬき弓をはりて苦しむものと貧しきものとをたふし行ひなほきものを殺さんとせり | The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. |
| 15 | されどその劍はおのが胸をさしその弓はをらるべし | Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. |
| 16 | 義人のもてるもののすくなきは多くの惡きものの豊かなるにまされり | A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. |
| 17 | そは惡きものの臂はをらるれどヱホバは義きものを扶持たまへばなり | For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. |
| 18 | ヱホバは完全もののもろもろの日をしりたまふ かれらの嗣業はかぎりなく久しからん | The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. |
| 19 | かれらは禍害にあふとき愧をおはず饑饉の日にもあくことを得ん | They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. |
| 20 | あしき者ははろびヱホバのあたは牧場のさかえの枯るがごとくうせ烟のごとく消ゆかん | But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. |
| 21 | あしき者はものかりて償はず 義きものは惠ありて施しあたふ | The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. |
| 22 | 神のことほぎたまふ人は國をつぎ 神ののろひたまふ人は斷滅さるべし | For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. |
| 23 | 人のあゆみはヱホバによりて定めらる そのゆく途をヱホバよろこびたまへり | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |
| 24 | 縦ひその人たふるることありとも全くうちふせらるることなし ヱホバかれが手をたすけ支へたまへばなり | Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. |
| 25 | われむかし年わかくして今おいたれど 義者のすてられ或はその裔の糧こひありくを見しことなし | I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. |
| 26 | ただしきものは終日めぐみありて貸あたふ その裔はさいはひなり | He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. |
| 27 | 惡をはなれて善をなせ 然ばなんぢの住居とこしへならん | Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. |
| 28 | ヱホバは公平をこのみ その聖徒をすてたまはざればなり かれらは永遠にまもりたすけらるれど惡きもののすゑは斷滅さるべし | For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. |
| 29 | ただしきものは國をつぎ その中にすまひてとこしへに及ばん | The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. |
| 30 | ただしきものの口は智慧をかたり その舌は公平をのぶ | The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. |
| 31 | かれが神の法はそのこころにあり そのあゆみは一歩だにすべることあらじ | The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. |
| 32 | あしきものは義者をひそみうかがひて之をころさんとはかる | The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. |
| 33 | ヱホバは義者をあしきものの手にのこしおきたまはず 審判のときに罰ひたまふことなし | The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. |
| 34 | ヱホバを俟望みてその途をまもれ さらば汝をあげて國をつがせたまはん なんぢ惡者のたちほろぼさるる時にこれをみん | Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. |
| 35 | 我あしきものの猛くしてはびこれるを見るに生立たる地にさかえしげれる樹のごとし | I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. |
| 36 | 然れどもかれは逝ゆけり 視よたちまちに無なりぬ われ之をたづねしかど邁ことをえざりき | Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. |
| 37 | 完人に目をそそぎ直人をみよ 和平なる人には後あれど | Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. |
| 38 | 罪ををかすものらは共にほろぼされ惡きものの後はかならず斷るべければなり | But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. |
| 39 | ただしきものの救はヱホバよりいづ ヱホバはかれらが辛苦のときの保砦なり | But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. |
| 40 | ヱホバはかれらを助け かれらを解脱ちたまふ ヱホバはかれらを惡者よりときはなちて救ひたまふ かれらはヱホバをその避所とすればなり | And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. |
