| 1 | 軍隊の女よ今なんぢ集りて隊をつくれ 敵われらを攻圍み杖をもてイスラエルの士師の頬を撃つ | Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek. |
| 2 | ベテレヘム、エフラタ汝はユダの郡中にて小き者なり 然れどもイスラエルの君となる者汝の中より我ために出べし その出る事は古昔より永遠の日よりなり | But thou, Beth–lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. |
| 3 | 是故に產婦の產おとすまで彼等を付しおきたまはん 然る後その遺れる兄弟イスラエルの子孫とともに歸るべし | Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. |
| 4 | 彼はヱホバの力に由りその神ヱホバの名の威光によりて立てその群を牧ひ之をして安然に居しめん 今彼は大なる者となりて地の極にまでおよばん | And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. |
| 5 | 彼は平和なり アッスリヤ人われらの國に入り我らの宮殿を踏あらさんとする時は我儕七人の牧者八人の人君を立てこれに當らん | And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. |
| 6 | 彼ら劍をもてアッスリヤの地をほろぼしニムロデの地の邑々をほろぼさん アッスリヤの人我らの地に攻いり我らの境を踏あらす時には彼その手より我らを救はん | And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. |
| 7 | ヤコブの遺餘者は衆多の民の中に在こと人に賴ず世の人を俟ずしてヱホバより降る露の如く靑草の上にふりしく雨の如くならん | And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. |
| 8 | ヤコブの遺餘者の國々にをり衆多の民の中にをる樣は林の獸の中に獅子の居るごとく羊の群の中に猛き獅子の居るごとくならん その過るときは踏みかつ裂ことをなす救ふ者なし | And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. |
| 9 | 望らくは汝の手汝が諸の敵の上にあげられ汝がもろもろの仇ことごとく絶れんことを | Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off. |
| 10 | ヱホバ言たまふ其日には我なんぢの馬を汝の中より絶ち汝の車を毀ち | And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: |
| 11 | 汝の國の邑々を絶し汝の一切の城をことごとく圮さん | And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds: |
| 12 | 我また汝の手より魔術を絶ん 汝の中に卜筮師無にいたるべし | And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: |
| 13 | 我なんぢの彫像および柱像を汝の中より絶ん 汝の手にて作れる者を汝重て拜むこと無るべし | Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. |
| 14 | 我また汝のアシラ像を汝の中より抜たふし汝の邑々を滅さん | And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. |
| 15 | 而して我忿怒と憤恨をもてその聽從はざる國民に仇を報いん | And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard. |
