| 1 | 主人たる者よ、汝らも天に主あるを知れば、義と公平とをもて其の僕をあしらへ。 | Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. |
| 2 | 汝ら感謝しつつ目を覺して祈を常にせよ。 | Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; |
| 3 | また我らの爲にも祈りて、神の我らに御言を傳ふる門をひらき、我等をしてキリストの奧義を語らしめ、 | Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: |
| 4 | 之を我が語るべき如く顯させ給はんことを願へ、我はこの奧義のために繋がれたり。 | That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. |
| 5 | なんぢら機をうかがひ、外の人に對し知慧をもて行へ。 | Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. |
| 6 | 汝らの言は常に惠を用ひ、鹽にて味つけよ。然らば如何にして各人に答ふべきかを知らん。 | Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. |
| 7 | 愛する兄弟、忠實なる役者、主にありて我とともに僕たるテキコ、我がことを具に汝らに知らせん。 | All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: |
| 8 | われ殊に彼を汝らに遣すは、我らの事を知らしめ、又なんぢらの心を慰めしめん爲なり。 | Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts; |
| 9 | 汝らの中の一人、忠實なる愛する兄弟オネシモを彼と共につかはす、彼 等この處の事を具に汝らに知らせん。 | With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here. |
| 10 | 我と共に囚人となれるアリスタルコ及びバルナバの從弟なるマルコ、汝らに安否を問ふ。此のマルコに就きては汝ら既に命を受けたり、彼もし汝らに到らば之を接けよ。 | Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) |
| 11 | またユストと云へるイエス汝らに安否を問ふ。割禮の者の中ただ此の三人のみ、神の國のために働く我が同勞者にして我が慰安となりたる者なり。 | And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me. |
| 12 | 汝らの中の一人にてキリスト・イエスの僕なるエパフラス汝らに安否を問ふ。彼は常に汝らの爲に力を盡して祈をなし、汝らが全くなり、凡て神の御意を確信して立たんことを願ふ。 | Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. |
| 13 | 我かれが汝らとラオデキヤ及びヒエラポリスに在る者との爲に甚く心を勞することを證す。 | For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis. |
| 14 | 愛する醫者ルカ及びデマス汝らに安否を問ふ。 | Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you. |
| 15 | 汝らラオデキヤにある兄弟とヌンパ及びその家にある教會とに安否を問へ。 | Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house. |
| 16 | この書を汝らの中にて讀みたらば、之をラオデキヤ人の教會にも讀ませ、汝 等はまたラオデキヤより來る書を讀め。 | And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. |
| 17 | アルキポに言へ『主にありて受けし職を愼みて盡せ』と。 | And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. |
| 18 | 我パウロ手づから安否を問ふ。わが縲絏を記憶せよ。願はくは御惠なんぢらと偕に在らんことを。 | The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Written from Rome to the Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus. |
