| 1 | 汝 等のうち互に事あるとき、之を聖徒の前に訴へずして、正しからぬ者の前に訴ふることを敢へてする者あらんや。 | Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? |
| 2 | 汝ら知らぬか、聖徒は世を審くべき者なるを。世もし汝らに審かれんには、汝ら最 小き事を審くに足らぬ者ならんや。 | Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? |
| 3 | なんぢら知らぬか、我らは御使を審くべき者なるを、ましてこの世の事をや。 | Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? |
| 4 | 然るに汝ら審くべき此の世の事のあるとき、教會にて輕しむる所の者を審判の座に坐らしむるか。 | If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. |
| 5 | わが斯く言ふは汝らを辱しめんとてなり。汝 等のうちに兄弟の間のことを審き得る智きもの一人だになく、 | I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? |
| 6 | 兄弟は兄弟を、而も不 信者の前に訴ふるか。 | But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. |
| 7 | 互に相 訴ふるは既に當しく汝らの失態なり。何 故むしろ不義を受けぬか、何 故むしろ欺かれぬか。 | Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? |
| 8 | 然るに汝ら不義をなし、詐欺をなし、兄弟にも之を爲す。 | Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. |
| 9 | 汝ら知らぬか、正しからぬ者の神の國を嗣ぐことなきを。自ら欺くな、淫行のもの、偶像を拜むもの、姦淫をなすもの、男娼となるもの、男色を行ふ者、 | Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, |
| 10 | 盜するもの、貪欲のもの、酒に醉ふもの、罵るもの、奪ふ者などは、みな神の國を嗣ぐことなきなり。 | Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. |
| 11 | 汝 等のうち曩には斯くのごとき者ありしかど、主イエス・キリストの名により、我らの神の御靈によりて、己を洗ひかつ潔められ、かつ義とせらるることを得たり。 | And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. |
| 12 | 一切のもの我に可からざるなし、然れど一切のもの益あるにあらず。一切のもの我に可からざるなし、されど我は何 物にも支配せられず、 | All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. |
| 13 | 食物は腹のため、腹は食物のためなり。されど神は之をも彼をも亡し給はん。身は淫行をなさん爲にあらず、主の爲なり、主はまた身の爲なり。 | Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. |
| 14 | 神は既に主を甦へらせ給へり、又その能力をもて我等をも甦へらせ給はん。 | And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. |
| 15 | 汝らの身はキリストの肢體なるを知らぬか、然らばキリストの肢體をとりて遊女の肢體となすべきか、決して然すべからず。 | Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. |
| 16 | 遊女につく者は彼と一つ體となることを知らぬか『二人のもの一體となるべし』と言ひ給へり。 | What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. |
| 17 | 主につく者は之と一つ靈となるなり。 | But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. |
| 18 | 淫行を避けよ。人のをかす罪はみな身の外にあり、されど淫行をなす者は己が身を犯すなり。 | Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. |
| 19 | 汝らの身は、その内にある神より受けたる聖 靈の宮にして、汝らは己の者にあらざるを知らぬか。 | What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? |
| 20 | 汝らは價をもて買はれたる者なり、然らばその身をもて神の榮光を顯せ。 | For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. |
