절	Good News Translation (1992)	King James Version
BOOK ONE / True Happiness Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God.	Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night.	But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.	And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
But evil people are not like this at all; they are like straw that the wind blows away.	The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Sinners will be condemned by God and kept apart from God's own people.	Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord, but the evil are on the way to their doom.	For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
