| 2 | Signore, ascolta il mio grido; Sieno le tue orecchie attente Alla voce delle mie supplicazioni. | Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| 3 | Signore, se tu poni mente alle iniquità, Chi potrà durare, o Signore? | If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? |
| 4 | Ma appo te vi è perdono, Acciocchè tu sii temuto. | But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. |
| 5 | Io ho aspettato il Signore; l’anima mia l’ha aspettato, Ed io ho sperato nella sua parola. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
| 6 | L’anima mia riguarda al Signore, Più che le guardie non riguardano alla mattina, Stando a guardar quando verrà la mattina. | My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. |
| 7 | Aspetti Israele il Signore; Perciocchè appo il Signore vi è benignità, E molta redenzione. | Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. |
