| 1 | Koran lasten veisu nuoruudesta, edelläveisaajalle. (H46:2) Jumala on meidän turvamme ja väkevyytemme, joka on sangen sovelias apu tuskissa. | God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. |
| 2 | Sentähden emme pelkää, jos vielä maailma hukkuis, ja vuoret keskelle merta vajoisivat, | Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; |
| 3 | Vaikka vielä meri pauhais ja lainehtis, niin että siitä pauhinasta mäet kukistuisivat, Sela! | Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. |
| 4 | Kuitenkin on Jumalan kaupunki ihana virtoinensa, jossa Korkeimman pyhät asumiset ovat. | There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. |
| 5 | Jumala on hänen keskellänsä, sentähden se kyllä pysyy: Jumala auttaa häntä varhain. | God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. |
