| 2 | Minä kiitän Herraa niinkauvan kuin minä elän, ja Jumalalleni kiitoksen veisaan, niinkauvan kuin minä täällä olen. | While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. |
| 3 | Älkäät uskaltako päämiehiin; ihmiset he ovat, ei he voi mitään auttaa. | Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. |
| 4 | Sillä ihmisen henki pitää erkaneman, ja hänen täytyy maaksi tulla jälleen: silloin ovat kaikki hänen aivoituksensa hukassa. | His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. |
