| 1 | A psalm of a canticle, for the sons of Core, on the second day of the week. | O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. |
| 2 | Great is the Lord, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain. | For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. |
| 3 | With the joy of the whole earth is mount Sion founded, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king. | He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. |
| 4 | In her houses shall God be known, when he shall protect her. | He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. |
| 5 | For behold the kings of the earth assembled themselves: they gathered together. | God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. |
| 6 | So they saw, and they wondered, they were troubled, they were moved: | Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. |
| 7 | Trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour. | For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. |
| 8 | With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis. | God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. |
| 9 | As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever. | The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted. |
