| 2 | 你們要與你們的母親 大大 爭辯；因為 她 不是 我的妻子，我 也不是 她的丈夫。叫她除掉 臉上 的淫像 和胸 間 的淫態， | Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts; |
| 3 | 免得 我剝她的衣服，使她 赤體，與才生 的時候一樣，使她 如曠野， 如乾旱 之地，因渴 而死。 | Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. |
| 4 | 我必不 憐憫 她的兒女，因為 他們 是從淫亂 而生的。 | And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms. |
| 5 | 他們的母親 行了淫亂，懷他們的母 做了可羞恥的事，因為 她說：我要隨 從 所愛的；我的餅、水、羊毛、麻、油、酒 都是他們給的。 | For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. |
| 6 | 因此， 我必用 荊棘 堵塞 她的道，築 牆擋住她，使她找 不 著路。 | Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths. |
| 7 | 她必追隨 所愛的，卻追 不上；她必尋找他們，卻尋 不見，便說：我要歸 回 前 夫，因我 那時 的光景比 如今 還好。 | And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. |
| 8 | 她 不 知道 是我 給 她 五穀、新酒，和油，又加增她 的金 銀；她卻以此供奉（或譯：製造） 巴力。 | For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal. |
| 9 | 因此 到了收割的日子，出酒的時候，我必將我的五穀 新酒 收 回，也必將她應當遮 體 的羊毛 和麻 奪回來。 | Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness. |
| 10 | 如今 我必在她所愛的 眼前 顯露 她的醜態；必無 人 能救她 脫離我的手。 | And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand. |
| 11 | 我也必使她的宴樂、節期、月朔、安息日，並她的一切 大會 都 止息了。 | I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. |
| 12 | 我也必毀壞 她的葡萄樹 和無花果樹，就是 她說「這是 我所愛的 給 我 為賞賜」的。我必使 這些樹變為 荒林，為田野 的走獸 所吃。 | And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. |
| 13 | 我必追討她 素日 給 諸巴力 燒香的罪；那時她佩帶 耳環 和別樣妝飾，隨 從 她所愛的，卻忘記 我。這是耶和華 說的。 | And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the Lord. |
| 14 | 後來 我 必勸導她，領她 到曠野，對 她說 安慰的話。 | Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. |
| 15 | 她從那裡出來，我必賜 她 葡萄園，又賜 她亞割 谷 作為指望 的門。她必在那裡 應聲（或譯：歌唱），與幼年 的日子一樣，與從埃及 地 上來 的時候相同。 | And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. |
| 16 | 耶和華 說：「 那 日 你必稱呼 我伊施（就是我夫的意思），不 再 稱呼 我 巴力（就是我主的意思）； | And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. |
| 17 | 因為我必從 我民的口中 除掉 諸巴力 的名號，這名號 不 再 提起。 | For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. |
| 18 | 當那 日，我必為我的民，與 田野 的走獸 和 空中 的飛鳥，並地 上的昆蟲 立 約；又必在國中 折斷 弓 刀，止息 爭戰，使他們安然 躺臥。 | And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. |
| 19 | 我必聘你 永遠 歸我為妻，以仁義、公平、慈愛、憐憫 聘你 歸我； | And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. |
| 20 | 也以誠實 聘你 歸我，你就必認識我─ 耶和華。 | I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord. |
| 21 | 耶和華 說： 那 日 我必應允，我必應允 天，天 必應允 地； | And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; |
| 22 | 地 必應允 五穀、 新酒，和 油，這些 必應允 耶斯列民（耶斯列就是 神栽種的意思）。 | And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. |
| 23 | 我必 將她種 在這地。 素不 蒙憐憫的，我必憐憫；本非 我民的，我必對他 說：你是 我的民；他 必說：你是我的 神。」 | And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. |
