| 1 | 但願 我的頭 為 水，我的眼 為淚 的泉源，我好為我百姓（原文是民 女；七節同）中被殺的 人晝 夜 哭泣。 | Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! |
| 2 | 惟願 我在曠野 有 行路人 住宿之處，使我可以離開 我的民 出去；因 他們都是 行姦淫的，是行詭詐的 一黨。 | Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. |

| 6 | 你的住處 在詭詐的人 中；他們因行詭詐，不肯 認識 我。這是耶和華 說的。 | Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the Lord. |
| 7 | 所以 萬軍 之耶和華 如此 說：看哪，我要將他們鎔化 熬煉；不然，我因 我百姓 的罪該怎樣 行呢？ | Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people? |
| 8 | 他們的舌頭 是毒 箭，說話 詭詐；人與 鄰舍 口 說 和平話，心 卻謀 害他。 | Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait. |
| 9 | 耶和華 說：我 豈不 因 這些事 討 他們的罪呢？豈 不 報復 這樣的 國民呢？ | Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? |
| 10 | 我要為 山嶺 哭 泣 悲哀，為 曠野 的草場 揚聲哀號；因為 都已乾焦，甚至無 人 經過。人也聽不 見 牲畜 鳴叫，空中 的飛鳥 和 地上的野獸 都已逃 去。 | For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone. |

| 12 | 誰是 智慧 人，可以明白 這事？耶和華 的口 向誰 說過，使他可以傳說？遍地 為何 滅亡，乾焦 好像曠野，甚至無人 經過呢？ | Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through? |
| 13 | 耶和華 說：「因為 這百姓離棄我，在他們面前 所 設立 的律法 沒有 遵行，也沒有 聽從 我的話； | And the Lord saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; |
| 14 | 只隨從 自己頑梗 的心 行事，照 他們列祖 所 教訓的 隨從 眾巴力。」 | But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them: |
| 15 | 所以 萬軍 之耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：「看哪，我必將茵蔯 給 這 百姓 吃，又將苦膽 水 給他們喝。 | Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink. |
| 16 | 我要把他們散 在列邦中，就是 他們 和他們列祖 素不 認識的列邦。我也要使 刀劍 追殺 他們，直到 將他們 滅盡。」 | I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them. |
| 17 | 萬軍 之耶和華 如此 說：你們應當思想，將善唱哀歌的婦女 召 來，又打發人 召 善哭 的婦女來， | Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come: |
| 18 | 叫她們速速 為我們 舉 哀，使我們眼 淚 汪汪，使我們的眼皮 湧出 水來。 | And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters. |
| 19 | 因為 聽見 哀 聲 出於錫安，說：我們怎樣 敗落了！我們大大地 慚愧！ 我們撇下 地土； 人也拆毀了 我們的房屋。 | For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out. |
| 20 | 婦女們哪，你們當 聽 耶和華 的話，領受 他口中 的言語；又當教導 你們的兒女 舉哀，各人 教導鄰舍 唱哀歌。 | Yet hear the word of the Lord, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation. |
| 21 | 因為 死亡 上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了 我們的宮殿；要從外邊 剪除 孩童，從街上 剪除少年人。 | For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets. |
| 22 | 你當說，耶和華 如此 說：人 的屍首 必倒 在 田野 像糞土，又像收割的人 遺落 的一把禾稼，無人 收取。 | Speak, Thus saith the Lord, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them. |
| 23 | 耶和華 如此 說：「智慧人 不要 因他的智慧 誇口，勇士 不要 因他的勇力 誇口，財主 不要 因他的財物 誇口。 | Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: |
| 24 | 誇口的 卻 因 他有聰明，認識 我 是耶和華，又知道 我 喜悅 在世上 施行 慈愛、公平，和公義，以 此 誇口。這是耶和華 說的。」 | But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. |
| 25 | 耶和華 說：「看哪，日子 將到，我要刑罰 一切 受過割禮、心卻未受割禮的， | Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised; |
| 26 | 就是 埃及、 猶大、 以東、 亞捫 人、 摩押人，和 一切 住 在曠野 剃 周圍頭髮的；因為 列國人 都 沒有受割禮， 以色列 人 心中 也沒有受割禮。」 | Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart. |
