So he forbare, and slew them not among their brethren. |

| 15 | 尼探雅 的兒子 以實瑪利 和八 個人 脫離 約哈難的手，逃 往 亞捫 人 那裡去了。 | But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went to the Ammonites. |
| 16 | 尼探雅 的兒子 以實瑪利 殺了 亞希甘 的兒子 基大利，從 米斯巴 將 剩下的 一切 百姓、 兵 丁、婦女、孩童、太監 擄 到基遍 之後，加利亞 的兒子 約哈難 和同著他 的 眾 軍 長 將他們都奪 回來， | Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon: |
