1 我 是因耶和華忿怒 的杖，遭遇 困苦 的人。 I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
2 他引導 我，使我行在 黑暗中，不 行在光明裡。 He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.
3 他真是 終 日 再三 反 手 攻擊我。 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
4 他使我的皮 肉 枯乾；他折斷（或譯：壓傷）我的骨頭。 My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
5 他築壘 攻擊我，用苦楚（原文是苦膽）和艱難 圍困我。 He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
6 他使我住 在幽暗之處，像死了 許久 的人一樣。 He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
7 他用籬笆 圍住我，使我不能 出去；他使 我的銅鍊 沉重。 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
8 我哀號 求救；他使我的禱告 不得上達。 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
9 他用鑿過的石頭 擋住 我的道；他使我的路 彎曲。 He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
10 他 向我 如熊 埋伏，如獅子 在隱密處。 He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.
11 他使我轉離 正路，將我撕碎，使我 淒涼。 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
12 他張 弓 將我當作 箭 靶子。 He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13 他把箭袋 中的箭 射入 我的肺腑。 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
14 我成了 眾 民 的笑話；他們終 日 以我為歌曲。 I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.
15 他用苦楚 充滿我，使我飽用 茵蔯。 He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.
16 他又用沙石 磣斷 我的牙，用灰塵 將我蒙蔽。 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
17 你使 我 遠離 平安，我忘記 好處。 And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.
18 我就說：我的力量 衰敗；我在耶和華那裡毫無 指望！ And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the Lord:
19 耶和華啊，求你記念 我如茵蔯 和苦膽 的困苦 窘迫。 Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20 我心 想念這些，就在裡面 憂悶。 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 我想起 這事， 心裡 就有 指望。 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 我們不致 消滅，是出於 耶和華 諸般的慈愛；是因 他的憐憫 不致 斷絕。 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 每早晨，這都是新的；你的誠實 極其廣大！ They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 我心裡 說：耶和華 是我的分，因此，我要仰望 他。 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 凡等候耶和華，心裡 尋求他的，耶和華 必施恩給他。 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 人仰望 耶和華，靜默等候 他的救恩，這原是好的。 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
27 人 在幼年 負 軛，這原是好的。 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28 他當獨 坐 無言，因為 這是耶和華加 在他身上的。 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
29 他當口 貼 塵埃，或者 有 指望。 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
30 他當由人 打 他的腮頰，要滿受 凌辱。 He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
31 因為 主 必不 永遠 丟棄人。 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
32 主雖 使人憂愁，還要照他諸般的 慈愛 發憐憫。 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 因 他並不 甘心 使人受苦，使人 憂愁。 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
34 人將世上 被囚的踹（原文是壓）在腳 下， To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
35 或在至高者 面 前 屈枉 人， To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
36 或在人 的訟事上 顛倒是非，這都是主 看 不上的。 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
37 除非 主 命定，誰能 說成 就成呢？ Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
38 禍 福 不 都出於 至高者 的口嗎？ Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
39 活 人 因 自己的 罪受罰，為何 發怨言呢？ Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40 我們當深深考 察 自己的行為，再歸向 耶和華。 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord.
41 我們當誠心 向 天上 的神 舉 手禱告。 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
42 我們 犯罪 背逆，你 並不 赦免。 We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.
43 你自被怒氣 遮蔽，追趕我們；你施行殺戮，並不 顧惜。 Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
44 你以黑雲 遮蔽 自己，以致禱告 不得透入。 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
45 你使我們 在萬民 中 成為污穢 和渣滓。 Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.
46 我們的仇敵 都 向我們 大大張 口。 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
47 恐懼 和陷坑，殘害 和毀滅，都臨近 我們。 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
48 因 我眾民 遭的毀滅，我就眼淚 下流 如河。 Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 我的眼 多多流淚，總不 止息， Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,
50 直等 耶和華 垂顧，從天 觀看。 Till the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
51 因我本城 的眾 民，我的眼，使 我的心 傷痛。 Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.
52 無故 與我為仇的 追 逼我，像追雀鳥一樣。 Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.
53 他們使我的命 在牢獄中 斷絕，並將一塊石頭 拋在 我身上。 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.
54 眾水 流過 我頭，我說：我命斷絕了！ Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
55 耶和華啊，我從深 牢 中求告 你的名。 I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon.
56 你曾聽見 我的聲音；我求你解救，你不要 掩 耳不聽。 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.
57 我求告你 的日子，你臨近我，說：不要 懼怕！ Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
58 主啊，你伸明了 我 的冤；你救贖了 我的命。 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
59 耶和華啊，你見了 我受的委屈；求你為我伸 冤。 O Lord, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.
60 他們 仇恨我， 謀害 我，你都看見了。 Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.
61 耶和華啊，你聽見 他們辱罵我的話，知道他們向我所設的 計， Thou hast heard their reproach, O Lord, and all their imaginations against me;
62 並那些起來攻擊我的人 口中所說的話，以及終 日 向我 所設的計謀。 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
63 求你觀看，他們坐下，起來，都以我 為歌曲。 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.
64 耶和華啊，你要按著 他們手 所做的 向他們 施行 報應。 Render unto them a recompence, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.
65 你要使 他們 心裡 剛硬，使你的咒詛 臨到他們。 Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.
66 你要發怒 追趕他們，從耶和華 的天 下 除滅他們。 Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the Lord.
