| 1 | 有一 個 先知 門徒 的妻 哀求 以利沙 說：「你僕人─我丈夫 死了， 他 敬畏 耶和華 是你 所知道的。現在有債主 來，要取 我兩 個兒子 作奴僕。」 | Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. |
| 2 | 以利沙 問她 說：「我可以為你 做 甚麼呢？你告訴 我，你家裡 有 甚麼？」她說：「婢女 家中 除了 一瓶 油之外，沒有 甚麼。」 | And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. |

| 13 | 以利沙吩咐僕人 說：「 你對她 說： 你既為我們 費了許多 心思，可以為你 做 甚麼呢？你 向 王 或 元帥 有 所求的沒有？」她回答說：「我 在 我本鄉 安居無事。」 | And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people. |
| 14 | 以利沙對僕人說：「究竟當為她 做 甚麼呢？」基哈西 說：「 她 沒有 兒子，她丈夫 也老了。」 | And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old. |
| 15 | 以利沙說：「再叫 她來。」於是叫了 她來，她就站 在門口。 | And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door. |
| 16 | 以利沙說：「明年 到這 時候，你 必抱 一個兒子。」她說：「 神 人，我主啊，不要 那樣欺哄 婢女。」 | And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. |
| 17 | 婦人 果然懷孕，到了 那 時候，生了 一個兒子，正如 以利沙 所說的。 | And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life. |
| 18 | 孩子 漸漸長大， 一日 到 他父親 和 收割的人那裡， | And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers. |
| 19 | 他對 父親 說：「我的頭啊，我的頭啊！」他父親對 僕人 說：「把他抱 到 他母親那裡。」 | And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. |
| 20 | 僕人抱去，交 給 他母親；孩子坐 在 母親的膝上，到 晌午 就死了。 | And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. |
| 21 | 他母親抱他上了樓，將他放 在 神 人 的床上，關上門 出來， | And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out. |
| 22 | 呼叫 她丈夫 說：「 你叫 一個 僕人 給我 牽一 匹驢來，我要快快地 去見 神 人，就回來。」 | And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again. |
| 23 | 丈夫說：「今日 不是 月朔，也不是 安息日，你 為何 要去 見他呢？」婦人說：「平安無事。」 | And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well. |
| 24 | 於是備 上驢，對 僕人 說：「你快快趕著 走，我若不 吩咐 你，就不要 遲 慢。」 | Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. |
| 25 | 婦人就 往 迦密 山 去 見 神 人。 神 人 遠遠地 看見 她，對 僕人 基哈西 說：「看哪， 書念的婦人來了！ | So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: |
| 26 | 你跑去 迎接她，問她 說：你 平安嗎？你丈夫 平安嗎？孩子 平安嗎？」她說：「平安。」 | Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well. |
| 27 | 婦人上了 山，到 神 人那裡，就抱住 神人的腳。基哈西 前來 要推開她，神 人 說：「由 她吧！因為 她心裡 愁苦，耶和華 向我 隱瞞，沒有 指示 我。」 | And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told me. |
| 28 | 婦人說：「我何嘗向 我主 求過 兒子呢？我豈沒有 說過，不要 欺哄 我嗎？」 | Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me? |
| 29 | 以利沙吩咐基哈西 說：「你束上 腰，手 拿 我的杖 前去；若 遇見 人，不要 向他問安；人 若 向你問安，也不要 回答；要把我的杖 放 在 孩子 臉上。」 | Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child. |
| 30 | 孩子 的母親 說：「我指著永生 的耶和華，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不 離開你。」於是以利沙起身，隨著她 去了。 | And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her. |
| 31 | 基哈西 先 去，把 杖 放 在 孩子 臉上，卻沒有 聲音，也沒有 動靜。基哈西就迎著 以利沙回來，告訴 他 說：「孩子 還沒有 醒過來。」 | And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked. |
| 32 | 以利沙 來到，進了屋子，看見 孩子 死了，放 在 自己的床上。 | And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed. |
| 33 | 他就 關上 門，只有自己和孩子 在裡面，他便祈禱 耶和華， | He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord. |
| 34 | 上床 伏 在 孩子身上， 口 對 口，眼 對 眼，手 對 手；既伏 在孩子身上，孩子 的身體 就漸漸溫和了。 | And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm. |
| 35 | 然後他下來，在屋裡 來 往 走了一趟，又上去 伏 在孩子身上，孩子 打了 七 個噴嚏， 就睜開 眼睛了。 | Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. |
| 36 | 以利沙叫 基哈西 說：「你叫 這 書念婦人來」；於是叫了她 來。以利沙說：「將你兒子 抱起來。」 | And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son. |
| 37 | 婦人就進來， 在 以利沙腳前 俯伏 於地，抱起 她兒子 出去了。 | Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out. |
| 38 | 以利沙 又來到 吉甲，那地 正有饑荒。先知 門徒 坐 在他面前，他吩咐僕人 說：「你將大 鍋 放在火上，給先知 門徒 熬 湯。」 | And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. |
| 39 | 有一 個人去 到 田野 掐 菜，遇見 一棵野 瓜籐，就摘了一 兜 野 瓜 回來，切了 擱在 熬湯 的鍋中，因為 他們不 知道是甚麼東西； | And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not. |
| 40 | 倒出來 給眾人 吃， 吃的時候，都 喊叫 說：「神 人哪，鍋 中有致死的毒物！」所以眾人不 能 吃了。 | So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof. |
| 41 | 以利沙說：「拿 點麵來」，就把麵撒 在 鍋中，說：「倒出來，給眾人 吃吧！」鍋 中就沒 有 毒了。 | But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot. |
| 42 | 有一個人從巴力‧沙利沙 來，帶著 初熟 大麥 做的餅 二十 個，並新穗子，裝在口袋 裡送給神 人。神人說：「把這些給 眾人 吃。」 | And there came a man from Baal–shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat. |
| 43 | 僕人 說：「這 一點豈可 擺給 一百 人吃呢？」以利沙說：「你只管給 眾人 吃吧！因為 耶和華 如此 說，眾人必吃了，還剩下。」 | And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the Lord, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof. |
| 44 | 僕人就擺 在眾人面前，他們吃了，果然還剩下，正如耶和華 所說的。 | So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord. |
