| 1 | 所羅門 定意 要為耶和華 的名 建造 殿宇，又為自己的國 建造宮室。 | And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the Lord, and an house for his kingdom. |
| 2 | 所羅門 就挑選 七萬 扛抬的，八萬 在山上 鑿石頭的，三 千 六 百 督 工的。 | And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them. |
| 3 | 所羅門 差人 去見 泰爾 王 希蘭，說：「你曾運 香柏木 與 我父 大衛 建 宮 居住，求你也這樣 待我。 | And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me. |
| 4 | 我 要為耶和華─我 神 的名 建造 殿宇，分別為聖 獻給他，在他面前 焚燒 美 香，常 擺陳設餅，每早 晚、安息日、月朔，並耶和華─我們 神 所定的節期 獻燔祭。這是 以色列人 永遠的定例。 | Behold, I build an house to the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel. |
| 5 | 我 所 要建造 的殿宇 甚大；因為我們的 神 至大，超乎諸 神。 | And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods. |
| 6 | 天 和天 上的天，尚且 不 足他居住的，誰 能 為他 建造 殿宇呢？我 是誰？ 能為他 建造 殿宇嗎？不過 在他面前 燒香而已。 | But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him? |
| 7 | 現在 求你差 一個 巧匠來，就是善用金、銀、銅、鐵，和紫色、朱紅色、藍色線，並精於 雕刻 之工的巧匠，與 我父 大衛 在猶大 和耶路撒冷 所 預備的 巧匠 一同 做工； | Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide. |
| 8 | 又求你從黎巴嫩 運 些香柏 木、松木、檀香木到我這裡來，因 我 知道 你的僕人 善於 砍伐 黎巴嫩 的樹木。 我的僕人 也必與 你的僕人同工。 | Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants, |
| 9 | 這樣，可以給我 預備 許多的 木料，因 我 要建造 的 殿宇 高大 出奇。 | Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great. |
| 10 | 你的僕人 砍 伐 樹木，我必給 他們 打好了的 小麥 二萬 歌珥，大麥 二萬 歌珥，酒 二萬 罷特，油 二萬 罷特。」 | And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil. |
| 11 | 泰爾 王 希蘭 寫信 回答 所羅門 說：「耶和華 因為愛 他的子民，所以立你 作他們的 王」； | Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the Lord hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them. |
| 12 | 又說：「 創造 天 地 的耶和華─以色列的 神 是應當稱頌的！他 賜 給大衛 王 一個有智慧的 兒子，使他有謀 略 聰明， 可以為耶和華 建造 殿宇，又為自己的國 建造宮室。 | Huram said moreover, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the Lord, and an house for his kingdom. |
| 13 | 「現在 我打發 一個精巧 有 聰明 的人去，他是我父親 希蘭所用的， | And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father’s, |
| 14 | 是但 支派一個 婦人 的兒子。他父親 是泰爾 人，他善用 金、銀、銅、鐵、石、木，和紫色、藍色、朱紅色 線與細麻 製造各物，並精於 雕刻，又能想出 各樣的 巧工。 請你派定這人，與 你的巧匠 和你父─我主 大衛 的巧匠一同做工。 | The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father. |
| 15 | 我主 所 說的 小麥、大麥、酒、油， 願我主運來 給眾僕人。 | Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants: |
| 16 | 我們 必照 你所需用的，從 黎巴嫩 砍伐 樹木，紮成筏子，浮 海 運到 約帕；你 可以從那裡運到 耶路撒冷。」 | And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem. |
| 17 | 所羅門 仿照 他父 大衛 數點住在 以色列 地 所有 寄居的外邦 人，共有 十 五 萬 三 千 六 百名； | And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred. |
| 18 | 使 七萬 人扛抬材料，八萬 人在山上 鑿石頭，三 千 六 百 人 督理 工作。 | And he set threescore and ten thousand of them to be bearers of burdens, and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work. |
