| 2 | 大衛 吩咐 聚集 住以色列 地 的 外邦人，從其中派 石匠 鑿 石頭，要建造 神 的殿。 | And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God. |
| 3 | 大衛 預備 許多 鐵 做門 上的釘子 和鉤子，又預備許多 銅，多得無法 可稱； | And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight; |
| 4 | 又預備無 數 的香柏 木，因為 西頓人 和泰爾人 給大衛 運了 許多 香柏 木來。 | Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David. |
| 5 | 大衛 說：「我兒子 所羅門 還年幼 嬌嫩，要為耶和華 建造 的殿宇 必須高大 輝煌，使名譽 榮耀 傳遍萬 國； 所以我要為殿 預備材料。」於是，大衛 在未死 之先 預備 的材料甚多。 | And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the Lord must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. |

| 7 | 對所羅門 說：「我兒啊， 我心 裡本想為耶和華─我 神 的名 建造 殿宇， | And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God: |
| 8 | 只是耶和華 的話 臨 到我 說：『你流了 多 人的血，打 了多次大 仗，你不可 為我的名 建造 殿宇，因為 你在我眼前 使多 人的血 流 在地上。 | But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. |
| 9 | 你 要生 一個兒子，他 必作 太平 的人；我必使他 安靜，不被四 圍 的仇敵擾亂。 他的名 要叫 所羅門（就是太平的意思）。他在位的日子，我必使 以色列人 平安 康泰。 | Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days. |
| 10 | 他 必為我的名 建造 殿宇。他 要作 我的 子；我 要作他的 父。他作 以色列王；我必堅定 他的國 位，直到 永遠。』 | He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. |
| 11 | 我兒啊，現今 願耶和華 與你 同在，使你亨通，照 他指著你 說的話，建造 耶和華─你 神 的殿。 | Now, my son, the Lord be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the Lord thy God, as he hath said of thee. |
| 12 | 但願 耶和華 賜 你 聰明 智慧，好治理 以色列國，遵行 耶和華─你 神 的律法。 | Only the Lord give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the Lord thy God. |
| 13 | 你若 謹守 遵行 耶和華藉 摩西 吩咐 以色列的 律例 典章， 就得亨通。你當剛強 壯膽，不要 懼怕，也不要 驚惶。 | Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the Lord charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed. |
| 14 | 我在困難 之中為耶和華 的殿 預備 了金子 十萬 他連得，銀子 一 百萬 他連得，銅 和鐵 多 得無法 可稱；我也預備 了木頭、石頭，你還可以增添。 | Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the Lord an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. |
| 15 | 你有 許多 匠人，就是石 匠、木 匠，和一切 能做各樣 工 的巧匠， | Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work. |
| 16 | 並有無 數 的金 銀 銅 鐵。你當起來 辦事，願耶和華 與你 同在。」 | Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the Lord be with thee. |
| 17 | 大衛 又吩咐 以色列 的眾 首領 幫助 他兒子 所羅門，說： | David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, |
| 18 | 「耶和華─你們的 神 不是 與你們同在嗎？不是叫你們 四圍 都平安嗎？因 他已將 這地 的居民 交 在我手中，這地 就在耶和華 與他百姓 面前 制伏了。 | Is not the Lord your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the Lord, and before his people. |
| 19 | 現在 你們應當立定 心 意，尋求 耶和華─你們的 神；也當起來 建造 耶和華 神 的聖所，好將 耶和華 的約 櫃和供奉 神 的聖 器皿 都搬進 為耶和華 名 建造 的殿裡。 | Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the Lord. |
