| 1 | 以色列 人 在當滅的物上 犯了 罪；因為猶大 支派中，謝拉 的曾孫，撒底 的孫子，迦米 的兒子 亞干 取了 當滅的物；耶和華 的怒氣 就向以色列 人 發作。 | But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. |

| 7 | 約書亞 說：「哀哉！主 耶和華啊，你為甚麼 竟領 這 百姓 過 約旦河，將我們 交 在亞摩利人 的手中，使我們滅亡呢？我們不如 住 在約旦河 那邊 倒好。 | And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan! |

| 11 | 以色列人 犯了罪， 違背了 我所 吩咐 他們 的約， 取了 當滅的物；又 偷竊，又 行詭詐，又 把那當滅的放 在他們的家具裡。 | Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. |
| 12 | 因此，以色列 人 在仇敵 面前 站立 不 住。他們在仇敵 面前 轉 背逃跑，是因 成了 被咒詛的；你們若 不 把當滅的物 從你們中間 除掉，我就不 再 與你們 同在了。 | Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you. |
| 13 | 你起來，叫 百姓 自潔，對他們說：『你們要自潔，預備明天，因為 耶和華─以色列的 神 這樣 說：以色列啊，你們中間 有當滅的物，你們若不 除掉，在仇敵 面前 必站立 不 住！』 | Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. |
| 14 | 到了早晨，你們要按著支派 近前來； 耶和華 所 取 的支派，要按著宗族 近前來；耶和華 所 取 的宗族，要按著家室 近前來；耶和華 所 取 的家室，要按著人丁，一個一個地近前來。 | In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the Lord taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the Lord shall take shall come by households; and the household which the Lord shall take shall come man by man. |
| 15 | 被取的人 有當滅的物在他那裡，他 和 他 所有的 必被火 焚燒；因 他違背了 耶和華 的約，又因 他在以色列中 行了 愚妄的事。」 | And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. |

| 18 | 使 撒底的家室，按著人丁，一個一個地近前來，就取出 猶大 支派 的人謝拉 的曾孫，撒底 的孫子，迦米 的兒子 亞干。 | And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. |
| 19 | 約書亞 對 亞干 說：「我兒，我勸你 將榮耀 歸給 耶和華─以色列的 神，在他面前 認 罪，將你所 做 的事告訴 我，不要 向我 隱瞞。」 | And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me. |
| 20 | 亞干 回答 約書亞 說：「我 實在 得罪了 耶和華─以色列的 神。我所做 的事如此 如此： | And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: |
| 21 | 我在所奪的財物中 看見 一件 美好的 示拿 衣服，二百 舍客勒 銀子，一 條 金子 重 五十 舍客勒，我就貪愛這些物件，便拿去了。現今 藏 在我帳棚 內 的地裡，銀子 在衣服底下。」 | When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. |
| 22 | 約書亞 就打發 人 跑 到亞干的帳棚裡。那件衣服果然 藏 在他帳棚內，銀子 在底下。 | So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. |
| 23 | 他們就從帳棚 裡 取出來，拿 到 約書亞和 以色列 眾 人那裡，放 在耶和華 面前。 | And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord. |
| 24 | 約書亞 和 以色列 眾 人把 謝拉 的曾孫 亞干和 那銀子、 那件衣服、 那條 金子，並亞干的兒女、牛、驢、羊、帳棚，以及 他 所有的，都帶 到亞割 谷 去。 | And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. |
| 25 | 約書亞 說：「你為甚麼 連累我們呢？今日 耶和華 必叫你受連累。」於是以色列 眾人 用石頭 打死 他，將石頭 扔 在其上，又用火 焚燒他所有的（原文是他們）。 | And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the Lord shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. |
| 26 | 眾人在亞干身上 堆 成一大 堆 石頭，直 存到今日。於是耶和華 轉意，不發 他的烈 怒。因此 那 地方 名 叫 亞割 谷（就是連累的意思），直到 今日。 | And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. |
