| 1 | 國民 盡 都 過了 約旦河，耶和華 就對 約書亞 說： | And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the Lord spake unto Joshua, saying, |
| 2 | 「你 從 民 中要揀選 十二個 人，每支派 一 人， | Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man, |
| 3 | 吩咐 他們 說：『你們 從這裡，從約旦河 中、祭司 腳 站定 的地方，取 十二 塊石頭帶 過去，放 在 你們今夜 要 住宿 的地方。』」 | And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night. |
| 4 | 於是，約書亞 將他從 以色列 人 中所 預備的那 十二 個人，每支派 一 人，都召了來。 | Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man: |
| 5 | 對他們 說：「你們下 約旦河 中，過 到耶和華─你們 神 的約櫃 前頭，按著以色列 人 十二支派 的數目，每人 取 一塊 石頭 扛在 肩上。 | And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: |

| 7 | 你們就對他們 說：『這是 因為約旦河 的水 在耶和華 的約 櫃 前 斷絕；約櫃過 約旦河的時候，約旦河 的水 就斷絕了。這些 石頭 要作 以色列 人 永遠 的紀念。』」 | Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever. |
| 8 | 以色列 人 就照 約書亞 所吩咐的，按著以色列 人 支派 的數目，從約旦河 中 取了 十二 塊石頭，都遵 耶和華 所吩咐 約書亞 的行了。他們把石頭帶 過去，到 他們所住宿的地方，就放 在那裡。 | And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the Lord spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. |

| 10 | 抬 約櫃 的祭司 站 在約旦河 中，等到 耶和華 曉諭 約書亞 吩咐 百姓的事 辦完了，是照 摩西 所 吩咐 約書亞的一切話。於是百姓 急速 過去了。 | For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the Lord commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over. |

| 12 | 流便 人、迦得 人、瑪拿西 半 支派 的人都照 摩西 所吩咐 他們的，帶著兵器 在以色列 人 前頭 過去。 | And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them: |
| 13 | 約有四萬 人都準備 打仗，在耶和華 面前 過去，到 耶利哥 的平原，等候上陣。 | About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the Lord unto battle, to the plains of Jericho. |
| 14 | 當那日，耶和華 使 約書亞 在以色列 眾人 眼前 尊大。在他平生 的日子，百姓敬畏 他，像 從前敬畏 摩西一樣。 | On that day the Lord magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life. |
| 15 | 耶和華 曉諭 約書亞 說： | And the Lord spake unto Joshua, saying, |
| 16 | 「你吩咐 抬 法 櫃 的祭司 從 約旦河 裡上來。」 | Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan. |
| 17 | 約書亞 就吩咐 祭司 說：「你們從 約旦河 裡上來。」 | Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan. |
| 18 | 抬 耶和華 約 櫃 的祭司 從約旦河 裡 上來， 腳 掌 剛落 旱地，約旦河 的水 就流 到原處，仍舊 漲 過 兩岸。 | And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. |
| 19 | 正 月 初十日，百姓 從 約旦河 裡上來，就在吉甲，在耶利哥 的東 邊 安營。 | And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho. |
| 20 | 他們從 約旦河 中取來 的 那 十 二 塊石頭，約書亞 就立 在吉甲， | And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal. |
| 21 | 對 以色列 人 說：「 日後 你們的子孫 問 他們的父親 說：『這些 石頭 是甚麼意思？』 | And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? |
| 22 | 你們就告訴 他們 說：『以色列人 曾走乾地 過 這 約旦河； | Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. |
| 23 | 因為 耶和華─你們的 神 在你們前面 使 約旦河 的水 乾了，等著 你們過來，就如 耶和華─你們的 神 從前 在我們前面 使紅 海 乾了，等著 我們過來一樣， | For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: |
| 24 | 要使 地上 萬 民 都知道， 耶和華 的手 大有 能力，也要使 你們永遠 敬畏 耶和華─你們的 神。』」 | That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever. |
