| 1 | 耶和華 的僕人 摩西 死了 以後，耶和華 曉諭 摩西 的幫手，嫩 的兒子 約書亞，說： | Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, |
| 2 | 「我的僕人 摩西 死了。現在 你 要起來，和眾 百姓 過 這 約旦河，往 我 所 要賜 給 以色列 人 的地去。 | Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. |
| 3 | 凡 你們腳 掌 所 踏 之地，我都照著我所 應許 摩西 的話賜 給你們了。 | Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. |
| 4 | 從曠野 和這 黎巴嫩，直到 幼發拉底 大 河，赫人 的全 地，又到 大 海 日 落之處，都要作 你們的境界。 | From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. |
| 5 | 你平生 的日子，必無 一人 能在你面前 站立得住。我怎樣與 摩西 同在，也必照樣 與你 同在；我必不 撇下你，也不 丟棄你。 | There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. |

| 7 | 只要 剛強，大大 壯膽，謹守 遵行 我僕人 摩西 所 吩咐你 的一切 律法，不可 偏離 左 右，使 你無論往哪裡 去，都可以順利。 | Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. |
| 8 | 這 律法 書 不可 離開 你的口，總要晝 夜 思想，好使 你謹守 遵行 這書上 所寫的 一切話。如此， 你的道路 就可以亨通， 凡事順利。 | This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. |

| 11 | 「你們要走 遍 營中，吩咐 百姓 說：『當預備 食物；因為 三 日 之內 你們 要過 這 約旦河，進去 得 耶和華─你們 神 賜 你們 為業 之地。』」 | Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it. |
| 12 | 約書亞 對流便人、迦得人，和 瑪拿西 半 支派 的人說： | And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying, |
| 13 | 「你們要追念 耶和華 的僕人 摩西 所 吩咐 你們 的話 說：『耶和華─你們的 神 使你們 得享平安，也必將 這 地 賜 給你們。』 | Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land. |
| 14 | 你們的妻子、孩子，和牲畜 都可以留 在 約旦河 東、摩西 所 給 你們 的地；但你們 中間一切 大能 的勇士 都要帶著兵器 在你們的弟兄 前面 過去，幫助 他們， | Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; |
| 15 | 等到 耶和華 使你們的弟兄 像你們一樣 得享平安，並且 得著 耶和華─你們 神 所 賜 他們 為業之地，那時才可以回 你們所得 之地，承受 為業，就是耶和華 的僕人 摩西 在 約旦河 東、向日 出 之地所 給 你們的。」 | Until the Lord have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lord your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. |
| 16 | 他們回答 約書亞 說：「你所 吩咐我們行的，我們都必行；你所 差遣我們去的，我們都必去。 | And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go. |
| 17 | 我們從前在一切事上怎樣 聽從 摩西，現在也必照樣 聽從 你；惟願 耶和華─你的 神 與你同在，像與 摩西 同在 一樣。 | According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the Lord thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses. |
| 18 | 無論甚麼 人 違背 你的命令，不 聽從 你所 吩咐他 的一切 話，就必治死他。你只要 剛強 壯膽！」 | Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage. |
