1 耶路撒冷 王亞多尼‧洗德 聽見 約書亞 奪了 艾城，盡行毀滅，怎樣 待 耶利哥 和耶利哥的王，也照樣 待 艾城 和艾城的王，又聽見 基遍 的居民 與 以色列人 立了和約，住在 他們中間， Now it came to pass, when Adoni–zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
2 就甚 懼怕；因為 基遍 是一座大 城，如都 城 一般， 比 艾城 更大，並且城內的人 都 是勇士。 That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.
3 所以耶路撒冷 王亞多尼‧洗德 打發 人去見 希伯崙 王 何咸、 耶末 王 毘蘭、 拉吉 王 雅非亞，和 伊磯倫 王 底璧，說： Wherefore Adoni–zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,
4 「求你們上 來 幫助我，我們好攻打 基遍，因為 他們與 約書亞 和 以色列 人 立了和約。」 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.
5 於是五 個亞摩利 王，就是耶路撒冷 王、希伯崙 王、耶末 王、拉吉 王、伊磯倫 王，大家聚集， 率領他們的眾 軍 上去，對著 基遍 安營，攻打 基遍。 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.
6 基遍 人 就打發 人往 吉甲 的營 中去見 約書亞，說：「你不要 袖 手 不顧你的僕人，求你速速 上 來 拯救 我們，幫助我們，因為 住 山地 亞摩利人 的諸 王 都聚集 攻擊我們。」 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.
7 於是約書亞 和他 一切 兵丁，並大能 的勇士，都從 吉甲 上去。 So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
8 耶和華 對 約書亞 說：「不要 怕 他們；因為 我已將他們交 在你手裡，他們 無 一人 能在你面前 站立得住。」 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
9 約書亞 就終 夜 從 吉甲 上去，猛然 臨 到他們那裡。 Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.
10 耶和華 使他們在以色列人 面前 潰亂。約書亞在基遍 大大地 殺敗他們，追趕他們，在伯‧和崙 的上坡 路 擊殺他們，直到 亞西加 和 瑪基大。 And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth–horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
11 他們 在以色列人 面前 逃跑，正在伯‧和崙 下坡的時候，耶和華 從 天上 降 大冰雹（原文是石頭）在他們身上，直降到 亞西加，打死他們。被冰雹 打死 的，比 以色列 人 用刀 殺 死的還多。 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth–horon, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
12 當耶和華 將 亞摩利人 交付 以色列 人 的日子，約書亞 就 禱告 耶和華，在以色列人 眼前 說：日頭啊，你要停 在基遍；月亮啊，你要止在亞雅崙 谷。 Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
13 於是日頭 停留，月亮 止住，直等 國民 向敵人 報仇。這事 豈不是 寫 在 雅煞珥 書上嗎？日頭 在天 當中 停住，不 急速 下落，約有一 日之久。 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
14 在這日以前，這日以後，耶和華 聽 人 的禱告，沒有 像這 日的，是因 耶和華 為以色列 爭戰。 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.
15 約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 回 到 吉甲 的營中。 And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.
16 那 五 王 逃跑，藏 在瑪基大 洞裡。 But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.
17 有人告訴 約書亞 說：「那五 王 已經找到了，都藏 在瑪基大 洞裡。」 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
18 約書亞 說：「你們把幾塊大 石頭 滾 到 洞 口，派 人 看守， And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:
19 你們卻 不可 耽延，要追趕 你們的仇敵，擊殺他們儘後邊 的人，不 容他們 進 自己的城邑，因為 耶和華－你們的 神 已經把他們交 在你們手裡。」 And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the Lord your God hath delivered them into your hand.
20 約書亞 和以色列 人 大大 殺敗他們，直到 將他們滅盡；其中 剩下的人 都進了 堅固 的城。 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.
21 眾 百姓 就安然 回 瑪基大 營中，到 約書亞那裡。沒有 一人敢向 以色列 人 饒 舌。 And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
22 約書亞 說：「打開 洞 口，將 那 五 王 從 洞 裡帶出來，領到我面前。」 Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.
23 眾人就這樣 行，將 那 五 王，就是 耶路撒冷 王、 希伯崙 王、 耶末 王、 拉吉 王、 伊磯倫 王，從 洞 裡帶出來，領到約書亞面前。 And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
24 帶出 那 五王 到 約書亞面前的時候，約書亞 就召了 以色列 眾 人來，對 那些和他 同去 的軍 長 說：「你們近前來，把 腳 踏 在 這些 王 的頸項上。」他們就近前來，把 腳 踏 在 這些 王 的頸項上。 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
25 約書亞 對他們 說：「你們不要 懼怕，也不要 驚惶。應當剛強 壯膽，因為 耶和華 必這樣 待 你們 所 要攻打 的一切 仇敵。」 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
26 隨後 約書亞 將這五王殺 死，掛 在 五棵 樹上。他們就 在 樹 上直掛 到 晚上。 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.
27 日頭 要落 的時候，約書亞 一吩咐，人就把屍首從樹 上 取下來，丟 在 他們藏過 的 洞 裡，把幾塊大 石頭 放 在 洞 口，直 存到今日。 And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain until this very day.
28 當日，約書亞 奪了 瑪基大，用刀 擊殺 城中的人 和王；將 其中 一切 人口 盡行殺滅，沒有 留下 一個。他待 瑪基大 王，像 從前待 耶利哥 王一樣。 And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.
29 約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 從瑪基大 往 立拿去，攻打 立拿。 Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:
30 耶和華 將 立拿和 立拿的王 也 交 在以色列 人手裡。約書亞攻打這城，用刀 擊殺了 城中 的 一切 人口，沒有 留下 一個。他待 立拿王，像 從前待 耶利哥 王一樣。 And the Lord delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.
31 約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 從立拿 往拉吉 去，對著 拉吉安營，攻打 這城。 And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it:
32 耶和華 將 拉吉 交 在以色列人 的手裡。第二 天 約書亞 就奪了拉吉，用 刀 擊殺了 城中 的 一切 人口，是照他向立拿 一切 所 行的。 And the Lord delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.
33 那時 基色 王 荷蘭 上來 幫助 拉吉，約書亞 就把 他和他的民 都擊殺了， 沒有 留下 一個。 Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
34 約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 從拉吉 往伊磯倫 去，對著 伊磯倫安營，攻打 這城。 And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:
35 當日 就奪了城，用 刀 擊殺了城中的人。那日，約書亞 將 城中 的 一切 人口 盡行殺滅，是照他向拉吉 一切 所 行的。 And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
36 約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 從伊磯倫 上希伯崙 去，攻打 這城， And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto Hebron; and they fought against it:
37 就奪了希伯崙和屬希伯崙的 諸 城邑，用 刀 將 城中的人與王，並 那些城邑中 的 人口，都 擊殺了，沒有 留下 一個，是照 他向伊磯倫 所 行的，把 城中 的 一切 人口 盡行殺滅。 And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein.
38 約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 回 到底璧，攻打 這城， And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir; and fought against it:
39 就奪了 底璧和 屬底璧的城邑，又 擒獲底璧的王，用刀 將 這些城中 的 人口 盡行殺滅，沒有 留下 一個。他待 底璧 和底璧王，像 從前待 希伯崙和 立拿 與立拿王 一樣。 And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.
40 這樣，約書亞 擊殺 全 地的人，就是山地、南地、高原、山坡的人，和 那些地的諸 王，沒有 留下 一個。將凡 有氣息的 盡行殺滅，正如耶和華─以色列的 神 所 吩咐的。 So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the Lord God of Israel commanded.
41 約書亞從加低斯‧巴尼亞 攻擊 到 迦薩，又 攻擊歌珊 全 地，直到 基遍。 And Joshua smote them from Kadesh–barnea even unto Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even unto Gibeon.
42 約書亞 一 時 殺敗了 這些 王，並 奪了他們的地，因為 耶和華─以色列的 神 為以色列 爭戰。 And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.
43 於是約書亞 和 以色列 眾人 回 到 吉甲 的營中。 And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.
